Kapitel 1: Prologue
Two years ago...
The room was charged with tension as Kadmiel Luca faced the man responsible for his mother's murder—Mr. Garcia, a man whose dark legacy tainted everything he touched. Behind closed doors, they were to have a private meeting, but the air was thick with animosity.
Kadmiel's eyes locked onto Mr. Garcia's, burning with fury and grief. He knew this was his chance, his only opportunity to confront the man who had torn his family apart. With every word, he intended to make Mr. Garcia feel the same pain he had inflicted upon them.
"You see this?" Kadmiel's voice grew cold as he pointed to the file lying on the table. "This contains the evidence that links you to my mother's murder. The police might have failed to uncover the truth, but I won't let it go unpunished."
Mr. Garcia shifted uncomfortably, his eyes darting away from Kadmiel's piercing gaze. "You've got it all wrong, Kadmiel. I had nothing to do with it. You're chasing ghosts."
"Don't you dare lie to me!" Kadmiel's voice rose in anger. "I have the proof—the witnesses, the undiscovered evidence that will expose your true face to the world. And if you think I will stop there, you underestimate me."
Mr. Garcia's face contorted in a mix of fear and defiance. "What do you want from me?" he spat out, his voice laced with disdain. "Do you think you can blackmail me? Your threats mean nothing to me."
Kadmiel's eyes narrowed, his voice dripping with venom. "You may not care about your own name, but what about Anastasia? Your only daughter? I've seen how much she means to you, how she's your pride and joy. Do you think she'll still adore you when she discovers what her father is capable of? Betrayal?"
Mr. Garcia's knuckles turned white as he clenched his fists, anger flickering in his eyes. "You dare bring my daughter into this? She has nothing to do with your twisted vendetta!"
"Twisted?" Kadmiel sneered, his voice low but filled with intensity. "Is it twisted to want justice? To hold you accountable for the pain you've inflicted? You robbed me of my mother, Mr. Garcia. All I'm doing is returning the favor."
A cold smirk tugged at Mr. Garcia's lips. "You can try, but you won't succeed. Even if you take me down, my legacy will live on. Anastasia will carry on my name, my empire."
Kadmiel's rage bubbled to the surface, his hands trembling with fury. "No, she won't," he seethed. "I'll make sure she faces the truth. I'll strip away every piece of your twisted legacy, leaving nothing but the ashes of your crime."
Mr. Garcia rose from his chair, his anger matching Kadmiel's. "You think you can destroy everything I've built? You're just a mere shadow of your mother, a boy playing in a man's world. You can't touch me or my family."
Kadmiel's voice turned icy, his resolve unyielding. "We'll see about that," he said quietly, a steely determination coloring his words. "I won't rest until your sins catch up with you. I'll expose your true nature, no matter the cost."
The room filled with a heavy silence, the weight of their confrontation hanging in the air. Kadmiel stared unflinchingly, his unwavering gaze locked onto Mr. Garcia's defeated expression. With every ounce of strength, he vowed to bring justice to his mother's memory, even if it meant tearing apart Mr. Garcia's legacy and his precious daughter in the process.
