Kapitel 182: Chapter 77 - Gabriella

I barely saw Mariano in the next few days since he came back home on Monday night. He left early in the morning, we don't even get to eat breakfast together anymore. He's also been down in the dungeon a lot. I  don't know what's going on, but I heard they captured someone who was sent to kill him. He acted like it was no big deal, but I feared for the day that he'd get hurt…or worse.

I went back to work at the club to occupy myself. It's what Mariano suggested to keep my mind off of things, but he makes it a point to pick me up after and drive me home before going back out. It did help, but I still worry about my family in New York. 

Mariano thinks our lives are in danger at the moment, so he never leaves without his guards and neither do I, though my trips have only been home to Delirium and vice versa.

With everything that's been going on, I'm just glad that he comes home alive—sometimes with a cut or two, but alive.
