Synopsis
When Jack betrayed the East India Trading Company by freeing the slave he was supposed to deliver. Cutler Beckett captured Jack and called back his twin sister Thelma who was a captain of one of his ships. Upon arrival, and not knowing that her brother was captured, she was seized and eventually killed by Cutler to spite Jack for his betrayal.
Her body was dumped in the ocean where Tia Dalma found her. Sensing that she still had a destiny to fulfill Tia brought Thelma back. Grateful Thelma asked what she could do to repay her. Tia asked her to retrieve something that was stolen from her a heart-shaped silver locket.
The man who stole it was long dead from a curse she placed on him. "Bring me my locket and you can have his ship and crew," Tia told her before sending her on her way with a compass much like her brother's.
