The Emperor's eyes narrowed. "Lord Marius' daughter? What of her?"

"She was working with Cavin," Izan revealed. "It was Viviana who gave Cavin information about Orion, which he used to approach Lord Marius, and I believe she has something to do with the rumors too."

The Emperor sat back in his chair, stunned. "A woman from a household as esteemed as the Whittemores? And Lord Marius' own daughter?" He shook his head in disbelief. "I cannot fathom how such a patriotic man could raise someone so vile."

Izan nodded grimly. "It's unfortunate, but it's the truth. However, for the sake of Lord Marius and Orion, I want her arrest to be handled quietly. This doesn't need to become public knowledge, especially with the upcoming council sessions. I wouldn't want this to stain their household's reputation or be used against them in the court."
