As the start of July rolled around, a lot of things had changed.
Lewis had been making numerous business deals with Astrid and now had control over the mine as previously agreed upon. While Astrid had also been spending a lot of time working from her computer and personally teaching Anya.
Anya had gotten to the point where she would be easily called a genius and also slightly different from other kids her age No matter what, she wouldn't cry or explode from emotions. It wasn't that she had low EQ. Rather she had been tutored by Astrid on how to keep her emotions in check, and also was busy every day learning.
She enjoyed learning new things. Learning new words and doing simple maths. And now she was doing things she would be learning at 6.
But it wasn't all work and no play. Astrid managed to set up a few days out with the family. Ever since she took control of security they had no major problems, out in public. Mr. Tuhs wasn't recognized by the normal person because of his little coverage, while Mrs. Tuhs always looked familiar to people. But they never realized who she was.
But because of how mature Astrid looked, people would sometimes mistake Anya to be her daughter, in which Mrs. Tuhs would always giggle in response to.
Today Astrid decided to go and check on a few things. Firstly she went to Hanxi and Auxil to personally oversee a few things, seeing Mustafa working hard in his new role. She then moved on to the things which had been on her mind for a while now.
Astrid was the big boss of an entertainment company. Dealing in actresses, TV, music, whichever. She had picked up major shares of the business to ensure Francesca had a stable position in the company.
After getting both her and the manager into the company, she didn't have much time to oversee what was going on. Instead leaving it to the people in charge of operations. But today she decided to go and follow Francesca to see conditions for her artists, not just Francesca's.
"What are you doing here? Aren't you busy?" Francesca was sitting on her set. As she saw Astrid walking in.
Her manager wanted to shout at her! How could she be rude to such a big boss! She had even moved their companies just from one word from you...
"Overlooking my artist's conditions. And yes I am." Astrid then casually took a seat on the chair beside Francesca.
The little assistant that escorted Astrid in was stunned. She didn't know the existence of Astrid and was amazed seeing Francesca and her talk so closely! She was also extremely beautiful...
"Hmm. I don't believe that for a second. You wouldn't be running away from Master Guilliano right?" Francesca scrutinized her friend. She had learned some of the scope of what Astrid controlled, and couldn't believe she would personally watch actors perform on set...
Astrid chuckled. "Why would I run away from him? I wouldn't think too much about it. The director is looking at you." Astrid nudged Francesca, as Francesca saw the director really was looking at her.
Francesca huffed away. Giving the look of 'I will hear answers' before walking off.
The manager didn't know what to do in front of this great god! he couldn't believe he wanted to get her in the entertainment industry before... She is now his boss!
Astrid casually picked up the script that Francesca left. The little assistant was bursting with questions. But seeing the look in the manager's eyes... She just couldn't do anything.
She then went over to Francesca to assist her. While the manager sat down with sweaty palms.
"Mmm, what's her schedule for the day?" Astrid asked before putting down the script. To the manager she seemed uninterested. But she had actually read the entire script in that time...
"At 5pm Sister Fran has a model shoot for a swimwear company. At 9pm she has a meal with a director for a new film." The manager spoke generally, not expecting the bis boss to care all that much.
Astrid didn't, she just noticed how she had such little time before filming and then a photoshoot then a meal all in a day. "Mmm, the swimwear company must be confident Francesca will shoot well then." She simply commentated, it wasn't a lot of time between her work.
The manager wryly smiled. "Sister Fran often gets her scenes done in one or two takes. While she is always spot on with photoshoots. She made her schedule as packed as it is." The manager spoke somewhat begrudgingly, he sometimes wished his artist would take some breaks.
Astrid nodded. The effect of her mother was indeed strong. Although some things take their own time to figure out. Francesca was already suited for the industry, with such heavy training it was understandable how well Francesca was doing.
"How about with social media? The growth of online presence must be accompanied with her." Astrid asked as she then lowered her eyes slightly.
"No issue. Honestly, her looks and personality make it easy for me to manage her. Obvious she had a few issues at the start and the obvious fake scandal or a small altercation blown out of proportion, but the truth always wins out in the end." The manager spoke with pride, it was obvious that he hadn't needed to do much damage control with Francesca, she was a private person and had a good personality. People couldn't get anything to use against her.
.......
"Hey Director, who is that woman?" The assistant whispered into the Director's ears while shooting.
The Director knew who he was talking about. "I don't know, apparently she is Francesca's friend. Look how respectful her manager is being. Have you ever seen him like that before?" The director whispered back.
The assistant shook his head. Francesca's manager was notorious for being a person that wouldn't suck up to people or power and had developed a few great actors in his time. But never to the height of which Francesca had risen up to.
"Alright, Cut!" The director saw as Francesca took a towel and wiped her face and started to walk to him.
"Director, is there something wrong?" Francesca asked with a smile, she noticed that he was distracted during filming just then.
The director shook his head. "No, not a problem. Is your friend willing to enter the entertainment industry?" The director asked with a shine in his eyes. No matter who she was, he had eyes, she was probably the most beautiful woman he had ever seen in the industry.
Francesca chuckled in response. "Honestly? I've been asking her that question for years. Good luck with that." Francesca replied honestly.
The director then sighed, it seemed there was no chance for him to do much then...
"Then I'll take my leave Director, I have a shoot later." Francesca started to say goodbye to her colleagues, as quickly as possible.
"Are you sure you won't do at least one film?" Astrid was asked this as soon as Francesca walked back to them with her makeup off.
"Mm, you have a photo shoot next right? I'll be coming along." Astrid shut off any ideas of her entering the entertainment industry.
The little assistant was stunned at Astrid's words. Why didn't she want to make a film? Especially with how good she looked! Even Francesca was trying to get her to make a film...
Francesca raised her eyebrow. "Okay then big boss. Join along with this humble crew for the day." Francesca joked as she helped Astrid out of the chair.
Astrid lightly chuckled. "That would be appreciated, it's hard having thousands of people under my control every day. Taking a day off is also nice."
"..." The manager and assistant were dumbfounded by the pair's humor...
