Kapitel 53: CHAPTER 53
"Alright everyone gather around " Mrs Thin summoned them all waving her arms as though she's sailing a boat .
"Hrmph alright, I welcome you all officially to China town San Francisco in our two days stay here we would visit new places and learn new things and just a little tip, keep in mind it's an educational trip not some ruse to spend time with your boyfriends " She muttered peering at them disapprovingly and a murmur arose but she quickly hushed it down and continued with her speech imperiously.
"Considering the fact we are in a new environment, you would do well to stick around each other and -
" Excuse me but this is not a new environment for me , I have been here countless times on different occasions " A red head said enthusiastically boobling her head up and down. There was a brief silence as miss thin narrowed her gaze at the unfortunate girl cleared her throat and said "As I was speaking before being rudely interrupted by one of you , do well to have your notes ready because you never know the questions from your upcoming exams might spring up from here " She concluded looking the environment over as though trying to convince herself, they made the right decision by choosing Chinatown .
"Shit , Troy groaned loudly " I came here to have some fun not to jot down stupid information " .
" If I am interrupted one more time I assure you the person would go in for it, and as for you Troy no knowledge is a waste but am sure you won't understand as you don't have a single grain of sense, finally we would be staying in this nice apartment " She stated primly.
" Thankfully her cringe speech is over, c'mon ayra let's go " Ella said summoning her over.
"Oh okay " She replied looking over at Alice and wondering if she would be fine coupled with the fact she didn't like the apartment. "Hey Alice am going on , do - you wanna come with me? She questioned tentatively instinctively knowing the answer and as expected, alice waved her away in dismissal.
" Do you guys think all the girls would stay in a room? Kachi asked voicing out her concern.
"Of course not there are plenty of rooms in the house worse case scenario we would be shared into group of twos and three for one room " Ella replied her smiling a little.
" Whooh that's a big relief ".
" Ayra are you okay? You have been kinda of quite after speaking with your sister .
"Yes I noticed it as well " Kachi seconded.
Ayra inhaled a deep breath and opened her mouth to tell them how worried she was about Alice ,and how she wished she would confide in her on what the problem was but just then Jack appeared with his luggage, their eyes naturally collided and her train of thoughts short - cuited. She smiled at him missing his scents in her nostrils, but unfortunately he didn't return her smile instead he looked away from her direction and moved towards the other end of the house meant for boys without staring back at her for once.
Ayra's system shut down and her body frozed, was it her imagination or did he just ignore her existence? She questioned herself bitting her lower lips and hating this feeling of her heart being squeezed into two parts.
" Ayra you were saying something "? Kachi said bringing her back to the present.
" Oh it's nothing really, I guess am just tired from the long journey plus my morning was hectic " .
" Oh poor baby " Ella enthused tapping her on the head, but ayra gently removed her hands .
" Right I knew you would prefer Jack's hands to mine " Kachi said pouting her lips in disappointment.
" Speaking of jack I smiled at him few seconds ago and he didn't smile back , what does it mean? She asked rubbing her arms up and down hoping she didn't sound like a fool.
" Uhm maybe his attention was somewhere else, because he doesn't have any reason to ignore you or does he? " .
" No not that I know of " .
" I agree with kachi he probably didn't see you smiling at him ".
Ayra wanted to argue that he had stared right at her and stared away but gently nodded hoping desperately that they right .
" Alright let's settle in for the night it's been a long day "Ella muttered yawning lightly.
Luckily for the trio they got a room for themselves and settled in, they had taken their shower and was preparing to lay down on the plush comfy looking beds when kachi said " I have news guys " .
Ella quickly went towards her and held her hands " What is it tell us quick " She commanded .
" Tsk Ella c'mon give her breathing space, kachi don't mind Ella she loves gossips a lot.
" Urhm this ain't gossip neither is it a big deal though " .
"Out with it already kachi!! ".
" Okay okay I got invited to ayra's sister birthday party she said in one breath. "
" What?? Ella and ayra muttered in one breath.
"What? Why are you guys so surprised? It's not much of a big deal".
" Kachi FYI Alice's birthday is one of the biggest event the whole school is looking over to and you are invited!! , gosh even ayra her sister won't be attending the party " .
"Why? She's your sister " Kachi said with a low voice.
" I'm not a fan of parties and I always feel lost so it doesn't make sense to be in attendance .
"I thought the party is held at your house? Where do you normally go then?
" She stays at my place and we both do something fun together " Ella replied in her place.
"Who invited you? Ayra questioned.
" Alice invited me herself " Kachi replied looking down.
Ayra and Ella widened their eyes at her words. "Why would alice invite you personally to her birthday party? Ayra mulled over.
"Exactly my own point no offense kachi but you ain't even socially qualified to speak with her talk more of attending the party!! .
Kachi shrugged her shoulders " I didn't know the party was such a big deal and you both should stop looking at me with accusing eyes, I really don't know why she invited me she came to the eatery with her boyfriend and I served them their orders, she asked if I was the new girl in class I affirmed and she expressed the wish to see me in her party.
" Hmm you're a big shot now " Ella murmured slumping down on the bed .
" No am not, am still normal kachi " .
"Do you know how many people that wants to be invited? Yet you got yours on a platter of gold " Ella persisted.
" It doesn't matter, I won't attend the party anyways " .
"Why? They both asked in union.
" Your reaction to the news plus you guys ain't even coming " .
"Kachi you would have to attend the party unless you want my sister's wrath to descend on you "ayra said in a serious tone "plus am sure alice invited you for a reason we have to know her reason ".
" We "? Ella said scruching up her face.
" Yeah we , because this time I wouldn't miss the party " Ayra declared with a determined face.
"What about me? " Ella asked aghast, "kachi has an invite while you on the other is her sister and can attend if you chose to but I wasn't invited she cried " Dragging her pigtails.
" Don't worry about it bestie I can steal an invite for you or screw that smuggle you in on that day, it's my house too you know " Ayra reassured her.
" Oh that's nice I can't believe we are all going to the damn party, gosh is this excitement I feel at the pit of my belly? " .
"Stop being so dramatic Ella and let's sleep , we have a long day ahead of us tomorrow " Ayra said looking over to kachi for support but the girl was already fast asleep.
" Omg kachi is asleep already " Ella muttered trying to lower her voice down.
"It's been a tiring day, good night Ella.
" Good night ayra tomorrow is gonna be so much fun, I can feel it already.
