Kapitel 50: Unravelling
Most women would have been perturbed by the way Su Kai mentioned killing people but for Liu Wei if she was able to help get rid of garbage who hurt innocent women and children then she was willing to help her man hide and dispose of the bodies.
Liu Wei didn't know if she should bring up who had kidnapped her because it would hurt Su Kai. She knew that Tang Ning and him were close and that they had known each other for a long time so the bond between them was strong. She also knew that he treated Tang Ning as a younger and annoying sibling except everyone around them thought otherwise.
Of course that was up until she showed up on his arms constantly at events and was photographed together. Liu Wei was now the first runner up of becoming Madame of the biggest empire in all of China and some of Europe and America. People had their eyes on her and more so the jealous women who had it in their minds that with the right incentive they would be able to infiltrate his heart and business. But to their dismay, he proclaimed that Liu Wei was his one and only and so all the hopes and dreams of the single women were crushed instantly.
Su Kai was standing at the balcony over looking the city whilst smoking. He had deep worry lines running through his forehead. If only he was strong enough, this incident wouldn't have happened. If Liu Wei was any ordinary woman she would have already been defiled and lost to him. He was berating his own weakness, he needed to be the man she could count on to protect her.
His phone beeps, he looks down to see a text message from his head of security. They were able to locate the activities of the men through surveillance, they had scoured through footage from the previous days to figure out who the master mind was. The small group was governed by a small gang in the area.
He texted back, "Burn the entire gang to the ground. Do not leave any alive.!"
His hand was clenched to his sides from anger because the text message also said who had hired these local thugs. It was non other than Tang Ning, the only other woman whom he let in his inner circle. He thought that over time she would see that he only viewed her as a little sister and never as a partner. Didn't she know hoe much his best friend loved her? He didn't know what to do and it hurt him to the core.
He picked up his phone again and dialed a number, the phone continued to ring for awhile until it was picked up by a woman. "Hello?"
"Is Alex available?"
"He is currently being wheeled out of the jet at the moment, he's still sleeping."
"What happened to him?" worry lacing his every word.
"We have instructions to receive sir Alex upon his arrival in the country and to take him back to his home. Ms. Tang Ning sent these instructions earlier today and to make sure that he was incapacitated for another day upon arrival." The woman answered every question Su Kai threw her way because she and everyone else who worked with the rich and famous was well acquainted with Su Kai. He was definitely not someone to mess with.
"Wake him up"
A groggy Alex was on the phone after 5 or so minutes. "What the hell was that for?" he yelped at the woman who was with him.
"It's medicine to wake you up from being drugged." she said to him not even batting an eye at his rudeness.
As his mind returned to him, Alex recalled what had happened and his face became distraught and sad. He immediately asked for his phone.
"Sir, Su Kai is already on the line and he is requesting to speak to you." she said while handing him the phone.
"Kai, you have to listen to me! something bad is about to happen to Liu Wei. You need to go over there and stop it."
"What is going to happen to her?" Su Kai was playing dumb, because he wanted to see if Alex was loyal to him.
"She'll get kidnapped... so hurry!!"
"She's fine, how did you know she would be kidnapped? and why are you back in China and all doped up?"
Silence on the other end.
Alex was contemplating on what to say. He'd known Su Kai long enough to know that this was a test. He's sure that with all the technology and money that Su Kai had at his disposal he would have already figured out the truth but it was still hard for him to say it. After all Tang Ning was the one woman he had always been in love with.
He didn't know when she lost her way or perhaps she was always like that and he just chose to look the other way?... he didn't know but he was sad that this situation turned out this way.
"I think Tang Ning would be the best person to ask... that's all I want say" a single tear fell down Alex's cheek, he knew that everything would change after this incident. Their tight little inner circle would have a major face lift. If only Tang Ning didn't act this way and perhaps confronted Su Kai directly instead of trying to harm the woman he loved. Maybe things would have ended differently...? who knows...
that is just wishful thinking now.
"Thank you for being honest with me, rest up" Su Kai said and promptly hung up the phone.
Two pairs of warm hands wrapped themselves around his waist and he knew instantly who it was. That wonderful fresh spring smell wafting off of her, he knew she had just stepped out of the shower. Her hair was still damp.
"You will catch a cold, come here let me dry your hair"
He leads her back to their suite and starts lovingly drying her hair.
"Ahhhh I could get used to this princess lifestyle, while you cater to me hand and foot!" Liu Wei teases him.
"Anything you want, I will gladly do" and he bends down to kiss her head.
