Kapitel 80: Cards on the Table (Part One)

Cynthia took her blazer off as she entered her father's office. She held it over her arm as she walked until she reached her usual spot then placed it over her late father's huge leather chair, the empty chair screamed its emptiness each time she laid eyes on it, the fact that his rightful owner was not around any more always stirred her heart in all the wrong ways, over and over she wished to see him sitting here where he belonged.

She sat down with the same feelings of longing for her father's existence in her life as always. Had he been here, how different things could have been? Had he been here, would she even have to struggle with any of this?

These thoughts were incredibly destructive right now, she dismissed them as she sat down behind the late John Turner's magnificent bureau, the whole place had a musky scent to it because of all the wooden furniture in there. Her father had a very expensive taste, one he had no problem keeping up with.
