Closing the door behind her, Evelyn walked towards Elric's cabin with her lips curled up. She couldn't wait to tell him how she deftly skirted Mr Aldrich's questioning. When reached near the cabin and was about to turn the doorknob, she overheard Elric and Mr Saemus's conversation. Although it was not loud, but enough for one to grasp if listened intently.
Mr Saemus stated, "I believe Miss Evelyn can handle this task better." She wondered what task they were discussing and if it was appropriate for her to interrupt them.
"Miss Evelyn?" Elric repeated. The way he took her name, made Evelyn furrow her brows.
"Yeah, why? She seems to perform the assigned tasks well," Mr Saemus replied.
Elric chuckled and muttered, "I wonder what she is doing in Mr Aldrich's cabin."
"Are you afraid she would spill the beans?" Mr Saemus questioned.
"Well, perhaps,"
