Evelyn sat down on her bed as soon as she walked into the room, unsure of how she would spend the rest of the day. Turning the sides frequently she tried to sleep but that didn't do any good for her. She sat up in bed and looked at the clock on the wall. There was plenty of time left before Elric returned from the council.
Her gaze was drawn to the books on the desk, but she had no desire to read any of them. She got out of bed and walked over to the balcony, mentally sighing. She supported herself by holding the grill and looked at the view in front of her. Winters were her least favourite season since she was often unwell.
The garden reminded her of the beast, she turned around and sighed looking at her room. She remembered Elric mentioning to her how she was lying unconsciously the whole night.
"Perhaps this is why I'm having a cold," she reasoned.
