Roar!
A loud cry of a strange creature caused a trembling sensation in the body of the dull-eyed human.
The boy put his hand on his head, as he could not stand up properly, trying to gain some clarity. From afar, he resembled the face of an average 20-year-old looking, though slightly on the malnourished side.
"God! What is this headache?" Samael murmured in pain, as he tried to gain some clarity and could not bear such an intense headache.
Boom!
A huge amount of force was thrashed upon him, as he blasted apart once again, coughing some blood as he finally gained a good amount of clear vision to look before him.
What greeted him was a big boar, looking at him with a pair of red eyes. The big boar was bleeding as well and had gone on a rampage due to intense pain.
Samael tried to put his thoughts together, and ignored the pain, as he pounced on the tall tree, climbing upon it.
Boom!
Just right below his waist, a force which was equivalent to killing him unleashed on the tree trunk where he stood before, as the boar bled even more. Looking at the frenzy boar, Samael's heart pounded in fear, but he held himself and climbed further up.
As he was climbing, the beast was smashing his head on the trunk again and again, as blood flowed profusely. Samael spat down in disgust, as the strong smell of blood hit his nose in a penetrating manner from the down below.
"Where am I? How did I get into the middle of the forest? And what is up with that boar? How its eyes are lightening with colour?"
As he was pondering in desperation, he plucked a big twig from a tree and threw it towards a running rabbit. The mad boar sensed it, and let out another deafening roar, as it chased the rabbit in a frenzy.
Breath! Breath!
Samael took deep breaths, as he began to recall certain limited memories from previous life. Several memories clashed, intertwining him in the recalling past, as he struggled to comprehend the new world he was transmigrated into. In his original life, he was a soldier for his country, which went to war with its enemy country.
He served his country wholeheartedly but had his entire leg blasted due to an explosion. In the beginning, after he returned to his house, he found that he could not move, so was given a wheelchair. Life had become miserable for him, no physical activity and cold food deteriorated his health even more.
Time passed, and his condition combined with trauma became worse, and finally, he could not take it. Loneliness, pain, and despair, these three words describe his previous life after the war. Every night, he found himself in trenches, sweating and shuddering. War had gone a long time ago, but the mental and physical imprint could never be erased.
"Ahh!"
Samael felt a soul-pinching pain, which travelled in his entire body, placing his attention on his bleeding stomach.
"I can't survive, if this goes on!"
He became desperate, and he climbed down the tree in just a few seconds, his hands placed on his stomach. He tore apart some parts of his clothes, as he mixed some herbs he had in his hand, and tied them tightly around his stomach, to stop the bleeding.
"No technology, just a village, and rumours of hunter energy?" He walked with a pressed and light foot, creating almost no sound, rushing towards the village.
The pain felt unbearable, but having experienced it before, Samael gritted his teeth and kept on walking. He could either escape or die, any sensible being knows which to choose. The forest looked dense, with tall trees and green bushes everywhere, small swamps here and there. In all sense, he was terrified.
He could see the contrast between this forest to his previous life, the trees seemed alive, swamps looked full of purple materials. He broke the big stick beside the weak strange tree, using it as a walking stick. His legs were wobbling, his teeth were clenched, and the more he walked, the harder it became to take another step.
"No, I am losing my consciousness! damnit!"
His head became more fuzzy when blood leaked out more, slowly blurring his vision. Samael bit his lips, trying to keep himself awake, as he increased his pace, some drops fell on the ground, while he rushed towards the village with maximum speed.
Several memories were flashing by-- war, death, the youthfulness of the new world, village, and night-beasts. The memories were fast, giving glimpses, creating a chaotic fool of his brain. Big cities, ancient castles, all of these seemed to have no endings.
Roar!
"NO!"
The boar once again stood before him, prying his red eyes, while the rabbit bled in its mouth. In the middle of a green forest, a boar, with the height of an average human stood, its eyes red, the blood kept leaking out of its stomach, while a rabbit hung on both its tusks.
Samael's grip tightened on the walking stick, and his eyes got messy. He let go of his other hand from his stomach, as he felt intense hunger by looking at the boar. His entire cells were screaming for the flesh of the beast which stood before him, blinded in hunger, Samael lost his ability to think.
Pounce!
The boar's tusk impaled the stomach of Samael once again, but a loud crunching sound was heard.
Roar!
A bloody bath began, the boar kept swaying its head, trying to get rid of the impaled human on its tusk, while Samael's teeth became bloody, as forcefully chewed the skin of the boar. Samael instinctively put his hand on the boar's stomach and used all his dying strength to tear apart the flesh of the beast.
At this time, the boar lost its strength, as Samael relished eating the raw beast with a greedy stomach. In the forest, only the howling of the beasts, and crunching of flesh remained.
The blood seeped into the mouth of Samael, not sure if it was of him or the boar he was feasting upon, but his consciousness illuminated once and then faded away.
