Lian then pointed in the direction of the central sun, telling the other two, "Let's head that way."
Hearing that, Duran quickly asked back. "Was it the ghost who told you that?"
Unfortunately for him, Lian shook his head in response. "No. When that flying whale started to absorb everything, I thought I heard that ghost's voice getting further away. After that, I haven't heard a single word from the ghost anymore."
Duran and Carol were taken aback. "So we lost the thing that saved our lives?"
Lian nodded, saying with a sigh, "Seems like it. Of course, I'm not sure about it since I've never been able to see the ghost either. I don't even know if it was a ghost to start with. However, I do think it was taken away by the whale. There was nothing I could do about it."
Carol's expression got sad after that. "I didn't even have the chance to thank it."
Duran agreed with her. "True. Something definitely saved our lives back when we were falling from the skies. If this ghost was the reason, then it's really a great loss."
"Definitely," Lian pretended to be sad as well. "Anyway, let's go."
"Wait!" It was then that Duran remembered. "Since it wasn't the ghost who told you the direction, what's the reason for heading there?"
Lian then explained an excuse he already had in his mind. It was one quite similar to the crown's reason, in fact. "Didn't you notice? When we just appeared in the skies of this place, there was something far in the distance in that direction. However, because we couldn't even stabilize our bodies properly, I'm not sure if I really saw something or not. At the very least, it did look like it was something different from the surrounding environment."
Lian also added, "However, I'm not sure, so let me apologize now in case I'm wrong."
Carol shook her head in response. "It's fine. It's not like we have a better choice." She then looked at Duran and asked, "How about your leg? Will you be able to walk?"
Duran patted his chest, telling her, "I told you already. I just twisted it a bit. It's not broken. As long as we don't walk too fast, I can definitely walk normally. It's at least better than waiting for our deaths here."
Carol sighed in relief after that. "That's good, then. Now, you two stand up and walk forward. I will follow you from behind."
"Why?" Duran asked.
Carol glanced at him with a dark expression. "Why do you think I'm covering my breasts and vagina with my hands? Do you think I like to be seen naked? At first, I was too affected by the situation that I forgot about it. But now, I feel embarrassed, okay? Haven't you noticed that I'm also avoiding looking down at your crouch? Try to use your brain for something else other than numbers."
Duran then remembered the moment when Carol's legs were spread apart in front of him and Lian while the whale sucked everything. "Oh... that's... correct... I guess." He quickly got up and walked forward after that. "Let's go, Lian. We need to find something to cover ourselves."
Lian scratched the back of his head as he tried to forget what he saw. "S-Sure..." Carol wasn't exactly top model material, but she definitely wasn't bad-looking. If not because of the situation they were in, he was sure his guy down there would be looking quite lively now.
With that, the three of them began their journey in the direction of the central sun.
'By the way, crown, how far was this place where you felt a lot of crowns?' Lian took the chance to ask the crown more about it.
-Quite far... I believe at least 40 to 50 kilometers away from where you are right now.-
Lian pondered over it for a bit before saying, 'I remember that during the Olympics, the walk race marathon spanned 50km, and the guys there took more than three hours and a half. Women took more than four hours. We're probably moving at half of their speed when we walk normally, so I guess ten hours or more of walking, maybe? I have to count for rest time and other things as well.'
-Pretty much.- The crown answered. -By the way, stop calling me crown. It's kind of grating to the ears.-
'Do you have a name, then?' Lian asked back.
-Not really.-
Lian sighed in response. 'Whatever. Let's see... how about glass? You're transparent, after all.'
-Fuck you! Can't you put a little more effort into it?!-
'Then... Crystal? Some people are called Crystal, albeit quite rare. In any case, you kind of look like a crystal crown.' Lian gave another option.
-Crystal, huh...? Sounds like a woman's name.-
Lian didn't seem to mind. 'Does it matter? It's not like you have a gender... wait, do you even have a gender?'
-Not really. However, I have a better idea. Just call me Lugg.-
Lian wanted to ask why the crown chose Lugg. However, he felt it was not worth it since he didn't really care about the crown's name. 'Alright. Lugg, it is.'
"Hey, look!" Suddenly, Duran called their attention. They had just come out of a small hill, so Duran was able to see a few plants not far away from them. "We can use their leaves to make something to cover ourselves, no?"
Carol quickly looked in the direction Duran pointed at. "Well, it's better than nothing, I guess."
Lian narrowed his eyes, though. "Do you really want to let your vagina and penis touch some weird plants from what might be a completely different world?"
Carol and Duran felt a chill on their backs as they quickly shook their heads. They still wished to have some descendants in the future. "But... it's not like we have a better idea, right? Maybe... we can check them carefully?" Duran and Carol said in response.
"Well..." Lian looked down at his crouch after that. "I guess we really don't have a much better choice."
The three then approached the plants and made sure to check them thoroughly... as much as possible, at least. None of them had any experience creating clothes from such items, so it took a few hours until they created something useful. At the very least, it didn't seem like the leaves were causing any irritation to their skins.
Carol quickly began to walk again after that. "Alright, let's go. Since we pulled the leaves out, they will eventually go bad, so our privacy is running out of time."
Duran and Lian looked at each other and nodded in agreement. "Sure."
The three then talked to each other to help with the passage of time. Around an hour later, Lugg began to feel the presence of many crowns again. Well, that helped Lian slightly correct their trajectory without the other two noticing he was doing it on purpose. Then again, they still hadn't made even half of the distance.
With that said, Lian also took the chance to ask Lugg another thing through his mind. 'Hey, Lugg. How exactly did you reduce our falling speed when we arrived in this place?'
-Hmm? Oh! This is something I noticed as soon as we arrived in this world. There's some kind of energy around us that I can use. On second thought, that's wrong. It's better to say that you're the one who can use it, and I'm the one who makes it possible.-
