Kapitel 9: Accused and Abandoned
Princess Aurellia's question was similar to Evan's. A question that he had not had time to ask the Nuclear Dragon.
Since he conquered the Labyrinth, Evan did not know how to activate or extract the absorbed crystals into his body. Even after 2 years of rigorous training, it wasn't enough to use that true power which the Nuclear Dragon said was the Demon King's Cursed Weapon.
"I'm sorry, but I didn't get any weapons from the Labyrinth as you expected."
Princess Aurellia looked at him in disbelief. It was a normal response and the same expression Evan had explained to her elder sister.
The second princess who always acted cruelly to him certainly didn't take his reasons for granted. She even assumed that Evan was telling a lie and had used the weapon to threaten her elder sister.
"There's no way I can do it to someone kind to me, especially now that I am a knight whose one of my duties is to protect you and your elder sister."
"Huh! Didn't you use that weapon to threaten and exploit my elder sister, right? That is definitely the way a monster like you must do!"
Evan knew that she was provoking his emotions to make him angry and act senseless. However, this was often done by Princess Aurellia. He was able to control himself calmly.
"Your accusations are completely baseless, Your Highness. If you call me into your bedroom just to say the accusations are false, let me excuse myself." Evan bowed respectfully before turning to the exit.
"Wait a minute! I'm not done talking."
Princess Aurellia clenched her teeth because her attempt failed to make Evan show his weapon. However, she has prepared another plan to trap Evan.
*Clap* *Clap*
Before he reached the exit, a man dressed in aristocrat appeared out of nowhere. The blonde haired man blocked the exit and clapped his hands as if he had just seen an interesting show.
"Isn't that impolite, Knight Commander? To leave your master without her orders?"
Evan put on a stance, and his hands were ready to draw the sword at any time to protect Princess Aurellia. "Harvey Anderson! Who allowed you into Princess Aurellia's private room?"
"Hey-hey, can you calm down first? Princess Aurellia! Please say something to stop this lunatic." The man with blonde hair and blue eyes raised his hand and panicked a little.
"Stupid! What do you want to do to him, Monster! I was the one who invited Prince Harvey here." She shouted to stop Evan.
"Still, you haven't done anything this reckless. It violates the rules of visiting etiquette." As a Knight Commander, he has upheld the rules and ethics that apply in the castle. He immediately grabbed Harvey by the collar and pushed him out of Princess Aurellia's bedroom.
"How arrogant! Even though you only served as a Temporary Knight Commander. But, unfortunately, the position that you are proud of will not last long!"
"What do you mean?" Evan continued to pull Harvey away.
"Actually, I came here wanting to jail you, according to orders from the king," Harvey said with a cold expression.
"Stop your nonsense-" Evan stopped in his tracks and tried to scold Harvey, but before that happened, someone hit him on the head.
*Brak*
A hard blow right behind Evan's head, and made him stagger before falling to the floor. With blurred eyes, he saw that outside Princess Aurellia's bedroom there were several people holding weapons.
He felt tremendous pain in his head, and it felt like something was pouring out of his head. He was sure that his head was bleeding after hearing Princess Aurellia's loud scream.
Even though Evan was often beaten repeatedly by subordinate Princess Aurellia, this was the first time he had bleeding until he lost consciousness.
He didn't really think about how much Harvey hated himself to do something like this after his proposal was rejected by Princess Ariella. But, his mind was weighed down even more by the King's orders that Harvey had uttered. What did the King mean to order Harvey to arrest him?
The King was the holder of the highest power in the kingdom. The King's decision was always needed in every important activity in the kingdom. Of course, to imprison Evan, who was held in a vital position in the kingdom, requires permission from the King, strong evidence, and a proper confession. He was sure that the King would be able to see the truth and save him.

In a dark place deep below the castle, Evan was being held like a royal criminal. His proud Mithril armor had been turned into a loose dull cloth.
"Evan? Are you awake?" A Warden who holds a lantern called him from behind bars.
"Gosh! My head is so dizzy. Where is this?" Evan couldn't move his arms and legs at all because they were all chained up. Even the tips of his fingers burned.
"Evan, I don't know what you did a few days ago. But now that you have become a royal prisoner, you have been accused of being a royal traitor."
When he heard Mr. Warden, he was surprised, and his eyes widened. The King's order to imprison him had come true. What Harvey said was not just a figment to scare him.
His 2-year attempt to become a Knight Commander and be able to stand side by side with Princess Ariella had been dashed due to the King's orders to restrain him. But, what was the reason he was detained?
"What accusation was thrown at me, uncle?"
"The King says that you have sold the secrets of the kingdom to the neighboring powers, Attempted harassment of Princess Aurellia, Violence against Prince Harvey Anderson, Corruption and embezzlement of the royal budget. "
"I- it's all slander! How could I do such a cruel thing? No-no way!" Evan didn't know how this happened. Not only was he a prisoner, but there were so many nonsensical accusations.
"Yes, I know that. It is impossible for a good person like you who has given me a job would do such a cruel thing. But, as a Warden, I cannot give you any help, sorry."
"That's more than enough. Thank you."
Mr. Warden immediately left after the torch was lit and heard the presence of the royal people who were coming.
"Hello, sir traitor. How are you? Of course, not all right for sure." Harvey spoke in a mocking tone.
"Harvey! What false accusations have you told the King?" Evan snapped in his hoarse voice.
"Huh? Don't get me wrong, I didn't say anything to the King at all. I was surprised when everything was discovered by King Vesh."
"No way! All of those accusations are the same as what you said in front of Princess Aurellia's bedroom."
"Hmm, did you hear that, Princess Arielle?" Harvey shifted, and behind him, there was someone who didn't want Evan to see at this point.
"Your Highness...."
