Kapitel 39: New ability acquired...
"Who are you and why have you come here?" The voice said.
"How should I know? You are the ones who called me here."
"IMPUDENT. How dare you talk like that?" Another voice said.
"What do you mean? I just answered the question."
"She has a point 3." Said another voice.
"Shut up 4."
"Calm down, both of you."
""Tch."" The two voices said at the same time.
"Now, young one, what is your name?"
"My name is Evelyev."
"Evelyev, huh? Never heard of you. Are you new here?"
"Yes, I am from abroad. But as soon as I arrived, I found myself facing a whole horde of zombies."
"Yes, we know that. Our agent informed us."
Are they talking about Miko?
"But who is the person next to you? She does not look like a human. With those horns, she looks like a devil."
"Did she let a zombie in? What if it's a psychic zombie? I suggest killing her right now." Said the other voice.
"Hey, hey, she's not a zombie. She's a resident of Harnej."
"If I remember correctly, all the portals suddenly closed a year ago. Did she pass through the portal before this incident?"
"Yes, that's right," I said.
It's starting to feel even more like an interrogation. Let us see how it will end.
"We can not trust her. What if the girl is carrying some kind of new virus? We can not put it at risk."
"I agree with that. We do not know if what she said is true.
"I suggest that we should kill them. Let us take a vote. Who agrees with me?"
"Hey, hey, what the hell are you talking about? Kill us? We do not even know who you are. We did not even want to be here. You dragged us here without our consent. And now you want to kill us? Have you lost your fucking minds?"
"Shut up. Who gave you permission to talk like that?" He said, and the moment those words came out of his mouth, the gravity around me and Ayuri suddenly became much heavier. Only with difficulty could I hold myself upright. My right arm was severed and the bones in both my legs were shattered, so I had to kneel down. Ayuri, on the other hand, was fine. She stood there as if nothing was happening. She even yawned.
"What happened 3? Your powers can not even handle a small child?"
"Oh, shut up 4. She's clearly not ordinary. Let us keep her for further testing. Kill the other one."
With difficulty, I turned my head to the left and saw someone in a black uniform holding a large sword slowly approaching me.
Under normal circumstances, I would not even need to try to defeat someone like this guy. But right now, I could not move at all because of the pressure.
I would like to ask Ayuri for help, but Miko had locked her in one of her cubes. But from what I could see, Ayuri was not even a little bit scared.
This person came even closer to me and was getting ready to swing their sword to cut off my head.
Normally, this would not bother me at all. But they were aiming to cut me in half and if that was the case, the chip would break and I would die.
Damn, after all that, I am just supposed to die like that?
No, I am not going to accept that. There has to be a way out.
But even when I looked around, I could not find a solution.
No, this can not be the end.
[Shinji, do you want to use your ability {Future Prediction}?] I heard Eyva's voice in my head.
"What can I do even if I use that ability? In my current situation, it's worthless."
[Do you want to trade {Future Prediction} for any other ability?]
"How is that even possible? We are not in a game here."
[I can awaken an ability by unlocking a function of your brain. But your brain allows you to have only one ability. Will you accept the trade?]
"Yes, yes, I will accept it. It's my only hope either way."
"Hahaha, look at that, she's lost her mind." The voice called 3 said.

I looked in front of me and saw that the guy was ready to kill me.
"Kill her." Said the voice again.
The guy gripped tighter and started swinging the sword.
[Unlocking random ability, please stand by...]
"No, I will not accept that. I will not die, not here, not now. YOU WILL PAY FOR THIS, YOU HEAR ME? YOU WILL PAY FOR THIS." I shouted while closing my eyes.
[New ability unlocked. @#$!*&# Ability is ready to use].
I waited for my heart to stop beating, for my brain to stop functioning, for my body to split in two. But that did not happen.
I slowly opened my eyes and saw a black rectangular cube floating in front of my eyes, having repelled this guy's attack.
Was this my new ability? That's a little weird.
Suddenly I heard Eyva say in my head, [That's your new ability. {Matter Control}. You can make anything you want out of anything. As long as you just think about it. You can control everything around you within a radius of twenty metres. This does not apply to living things. Also, you can control anything you create within a radius of one kilometre around you].
"Damn, that's a damn good ability. I am sure there shouldn't exist such an ability. Well then. It's time for me to make them pay for everything," I said with a smile.
The pressure had ceased just before the guy was ready to hit me. So my legs were healed again.
I slowly stood up and looked at the guy with the sword. I could see his face clearly now. He was terrified of me. I raised my left hand, opened my palm and a black iron knife appeared. I grabbed it and plunged it into his head with one swift movement. I dissolved the black cube and he fell to the ground.
I turned to Miko and immediately she launched an attack on me. It was like a slash with a sword, but much sharper than a normal slash and moved silently towards me at high speed. Normally you can not see this attack without the ability of psychokinesis, but I could feel the vibrations of the air atoms.
So I created a thin shield in front of me with that black material, which effectively blocked her attack. I dissolved the shield and when I got close enough, as she tried to attack me again, I immediately stopped her attack before she could even release it by controlling the air atoms around her right hand.
I built a cube out of the same black material to hold her for a while and released Ayuri from Miko's cube.
{Don't you look a little stronger? What happened?}
"What do you mean? You have been here the whole time, right?"
{Oh, I was taking a quick nap.}
"Are you kidding me?"
{Calm down, I have seen your appearance change. Do not worry.}
"What change are you talking about?"
{As soon as you use your power, your hair has turned black and you have a few strands of green hair that glow}.
"Oh? Interesting."
"WHAT? HOW? WHO ARE YOU?" Said the voice once again.
"Oh yes, I almost forgot about you. It's time to finish this for good." I said and a smile formed on my face.
I began to create blocks of this material in the air to use as stairs to get higher.
When I reached the desired height, I stopped, pointed my right hand, at least what was left of it, to the right and the rest of my arm flew and stuck to the wound that healed itself. Now my right arm is functional again.
I placed the fist of my right hand slightly above my abdomen and raised my two fingers to strike a cool pose. Not that I needed one to make my ability work, but I think I would look better if I did one.
As soon as I raised my fingers, twelve swords formed behind my back in the shape of a circle. I had seen this move in many novels and movies, so I wanted to try it for myself.
I raised my left hand and the light source above me began to interfere until the light bulb exploded. It was pitch black. But not for long.
I created a row of spotlights behind me, which I turned on, and finally I could see the people who dared to go against me.
They hid behind a transparent wall and as soon as they saw me, they freaked out.
"How dare you stand in front of us? Do you want to die? The man, whom I immediately identified from his voice as the one called 3, said.
"Hmm? So you are the one who wanted to kill us? Hah, what a joke."
"What are you saying, you little shit?"
"And who is the other one who agreed to kill me?"
Neither of the other two spoke for a while. But then one of them attacked me. He shot a laser beam at me, hoping to hurt or kill me.
But I deflected it with one of my cubes with ease.
"Well then, I guess we found out who did it. So it's time for you two to die." I said with a smile.
I pointed my right hand at them and immediately all the swords flew towards the two guys.
They tried to stop the swords, but they didn't make it. Both of them were pierced by at least four swords and were dead on the spot.
At that point, I looked at my reflection on the wall and saw that my eyes were glowing. I suspect this is also due to my powers.
I created a platform that took me to the room where these 'superiors' were sitting. I descended from the platform and entered the room through the broken wall.
I walked up to the only man I had left alive. He was sitting in the corner, shaking with fear. When I got close enough to him, I whispered in his ear, "I'll let you go because you were the only one who was not willing to kill me. But I am taking your commander Miko here with me." I said, pointing to the cube I was holding Miko in.
"Un-understood."
I turned around and started to walk further away from him. Just before I was about to leave this room, I stopped and said, "And if I hear any alarm or see anyone trying to stop me, I will bury the entire building under the ground."
I then jumped down from the shattered wall and approached the cube in which I had held Miko captive.
"Sorry for the inconvenience, but do not worry, it will not take long. Now let us go get your brother." I said, blasting open the doors while having Miko's cage hovering behind me.
Now let us get Yuuki and get out of here.
