“These are my friends Darren and Darryl. They’re kind of new in town, and I wanted them to see the best first. They need some good seats close to the stage. Their first couple of drinks’re on me.”
She pulled a twenty out of the pocket of her denim shorts and slapped it down on the table beside his seat. “That should cover it for a start. I’ve got to go get ready for my first act.”
Then she turned back to the two young men. “Why don’t you two sit right here? I’ll have Bo the bartender bring you a beer. The Mexican imports are the best. Why don’t you try a Tecate? There’ll be two dancers at least before I come out, so watch and enjoy, okay?”
