Gerald knew it was a trap because he had learned directly from his father about how to save someone and the traps around him.

Four Werewolves surrounded the three of them. Xavier, who was about to shoot his laser beam at them, was stopped by Alexis immediately because he realized that they were in a cave full of stalactite stones above them. If Xavier fired a laser at them, he would be committing suicide because the stalactites above would surely fall on the three of them.

Xavier was still confused about how to attack them. Because the position of the three of them is not very good, with the stalactite stones in the cave, the stones would surely fall if they attacked. Still, it is doubtful that he can make a shield that fasts because Tyler can make old shields fast.
