Chapter 73:
The speed of our flight did not cause us much discomfort since we had a new suits that is literally made to assist our powers.
We just need to take more effort to reach our destination faster but we are not that short on time since we just need to pass the message and let Tony do the work.
The sun is setting and when the last light of the sun is gone, we just touch the top of the landing area where Tony land with his armour.
" Friday, did you already notified Mr. Stark of our arrival?" I talk to the whole floor since this building have Friday's control and we can communicate since she can see and hear us through speaker and cameras.
" Good evening Mr. Cain and Ms. Lyla, Boss should already be on his way, have a seat on the living room and drink first, do you prefer wine or other beverages?" Friday is still respectful even though her voice sounds like a real voice instead of a normal AI.
" Just call us Cain and Lyla, and we prefer any beverages, thanks Friday." I responded to Friday while opening the TV and taking a seat on the sofa.
The sofa don't look luxurious it just look normal white long circular sofa with round table in the middle and not too much decorations, but it's hella expensive since it's so comfortable and Pepper Potts should be the one who bought this or Tony or Happy, I don't care anymore.
We watch news and drink beverages with some snacks while waiting for Tony.
It did not take to long for Tony to come with his new Mark L armour, the armour look so sleek and its nanotechnology is so advanced it can even make any weapons that Tony think of and programmed instantaneously.
The Mark L armour retreated to Tony's arc reactor on his chest and his clothes returned to normal while walking towards us, he looks at us up and down while also observing our new battle suits and commenting.
Tony opened his mouth first " I see that you both got new uniform but the colours are so basic I'm even confused with your taste but since it's you, it looks simple but the technology seems from Wakanda, let me guess, did Shuri brat made those for you both?"
" well, I'm glad you did not diss us for our new suits since yours look new and much more cooler, is that your currently strongest and is that the latest?" I asked if there are more Iron Man suits that is still hidden like the Iron Legion.
" Yep, this is made by Shuri and its also nanotechnology and can be repaired, we just got here from Wakanda," I tap my chest and the nanotechnologies made a movements the suit became a normal looking clothes like a black pants along with shoes with black tee shirt with dark jacket.
Lyla also change her outfit with black pants and white jacket with white shoes. We just needs a tie to look like a semi formal attire in normal days.
" I didn't know this is its function but it's favourable for us, it just change the looks and colours but its still a battle suit and it's hiding in plain sight" I am impressed by the way it changes like a normal clothes so it don't look like we always wear battle suits on normal days.
Tony " These function has its own advantages since you just need one tap to be ready for anything incase of battle, so how is your world tour? You've been making noise and getting on some national governments radars, they are already thinking of using military force to arrest all of you and the US is having a headache whether to contact you or discard but It's Captain America they are talking about, a World War 2 hero."
I laughed and said " we don't care about them since saving the people and beating up criminals is our job, we are rouge and we don't belong to any country, we can do whatever we want without the politic's intervention."
Tony continued " The United Nation are having a talks about your team getting on the other nations and wreck havoc, leaving many countries complaining on using all UN's resources to arrest your team."
" As Captain Steve said, saving civilians is our priorities and making the world a better place is our responsibilities and saving those politicians face is not on our list of reasons," I responded to Tony since he already knows this and continue.
" We've come here to tell you a news, Thanos already moved and Thor and the Others are currently fighting him and his lackeys," Tony's interest is peak and focus on listening.
" So what is your news, do you have any plans to take down that Mad Titan?" Tony ask as he subconsciously remembered the chitauri ship that he blew up with nuclear weapon and the nightmare he had from PTSD.
" You seem pale, do you still have PTSD?" I asked him first before answering his questions.
Tony is just a normal guy with a suit of armour in the six Avengers, Natasha is a Spy and assassin, Clint was an high level Agent, Steve is a soldier from World war 2, Thor is a god of war in Asgard battling in nine realms and lastly, Bruce doesn't remember what Hulk is doing and he is a scientist who may been part of some human experiments.
This is one of the reasons I am taking slow on being so powerful as my psychological skills is not yet up to par. I considered myself not ready to kill so I trained at the Avengers facility and do some stealing and vigilante while breaking bones and beating bad guys.
Little by little, my mentality matured and more capable to take on some people who have been involved in human trafficking, tortures and human experiments. It may not yet enough but since it's been several years since we're doing this, my mind is stronger than the past and not vulnerable to any PTSD.
Unlike Tony, who may have killed many terrorist and criminals but the battle in New York gave him trauma and visions that it is his fault if he chooses his life over the world.
But before he unleashed the nuke to destroy Loki's Chitauri invasion fleet, Mr. Stark was struck with fear at the overwhelming size and scope of the alien invasion force. And Tony assumed he was going to die; he had made the decision to sacrifice himself and Stark was shocked that he miraculously survived.
