Kapitel 55: Bulging veins

Days had passed in a blink, and Ethan and Scarlett were once again with Hungjun and the Human Matriarch. They were in the room, and the higher cultivators were both playing that unusual Shogi-like game again.

Scarlett could speak more fluently this time, but she was an innate introvert. She just sat to the side and silently watched—unlike in the bedroom, Scarlett's presence was so low outside it. She just didn't even seem to exist.

The only time she proactively acted would be if someone woman tried to be touchy with Ethan. Hungjun and the Matriarch even called her 'Ethan's girlfriend,' she was that level of introvert. She didn't actually stutter when answering people's questions, but there was no shine on her brows.

She just wanted to blend in with the surroundings. Ethan knew the reason. She was always fuming when he was out talking to someone. She didn't like him having other relationships—even friends. She wanted all the attention to herself.
