Kapitel 7: Patching
"Sona-same, his sacred gear has awakened. And I scouted the fallen angel who had escaped, is now after his tail. Should I make my move?"
Fixing the glasses on the nose, a girl wearing a uniform staring at the reports she had received.
"Hm? It seems that it's his mana, too, that has been quite active. It could be that that realized that this world is more to than it seems, thus his decision to join the dojo. " said the woman, who stood next to Sona as she glanced at the reports on her king's hand.
"It seems so Tsubaki. I wanted you to approach him either tonight when he is coming from his dojo or tomorrow at school. Unlike Rias, who was too lazy, I did my research on his background, and I know he definitely has no affiliation with the Church or Fallen angels. I had already given her a powerful pawn."
Tsubaki-san nodded, then began to write something on the paper.
"But it's a pity that the boy isn't powerful as Hyoudou. He might be a decent rook if we can get him to join us."
Sona, too, nodded her head. She had seen him passionate about strength training and even seen how smart he was at surviving in the world. It was the one thing that attracted her attention; not only was he a skilled writer, but also a coder, as he had created his own website to order the books he had written.
It wouldn't be a lie to say she herself didn't read the books he had written. Though they looked like they were for children, it was nice to read during her tea break. She enjoyed his story, as it has all sorts of fantasy, and she even got excited when she was reading the story where they fought against Voldemort. It was her first time ever seeing such a good programmer and writer. She was glad that the two women had agreed with her decision, as it could have been a waste of time otherwise.
After finishing his report, Tsubaki-san gave a frown before she said, "But it will be difficult to contact him. Even though he is a genius, he doesn't like to go outside and is always by himself."
"We just need to make him come to Kuoh Academy then we should be fine," Sona said, looking at the reports.
Sona stood up from her chair as she walked towards the window, and soon a crow has landed on her hand, "We will have to train him properly until he becomes strong enough. We don't want him to become a weak link in our team, do we?"
The crow flicked its beak before flying into the sky once again.

'Damn, it sucks there is no Elden Ring in this world.'
Walking through the midnight streets, Kaida wondered inwardly, as he was a little frustrated that he could not research the best ways to beat the game. All of a sudden, he froze; as his hand reached the back of his neck, he scratched, feeling annoying ich.
'The streets are too quiet... Is it just or my danger senses tingling,' Though he was no war veteran or a combat master. Surviving in the world of the Elden Ring for three-day straight, he made a habit of noticing everything, observing when the enemies could attack him, and never relaxing.
As he turned to his left and right, making sure there were no threats in front of him, he saw that there were no people and even no cars traveling on the road. 'This feels wrong' As he kept walking forwards, a shadow appeared from the darkness, coming to attack him.
'Shit!' He quickly dodged his enemy, and soon another shadow appeared and attacked him from the left, making Kaida turn back and forth, trying to avoid the attacks.
'How am I gonna get out of this?' He thought. Then suddenly, he felt a sharp pain in his left arm, and the same thing happened in his right arm.
'What the hell is this?!' He panicked as he tried to run away from his attackers, but they were too fast for him. Soon his legs were kicked, and he fell to the ground.
"Ahhhhhh!" Kaida screamed in agony as he was nailed to the ground with what looked like light spears, which were burning his skin.
"Ughhh..."
He was unable to move. He looked up and saw something which made his heart skip a beat. Two feathered wings sprouted from her back as black hair flowed behind her.
"Fuck!" Kaida shouted, realizing it was no angel. It had black wings and wearing a BDSM outfit?
"Oh, you're alive." The woman said, sounding disappointed. "But, I guess it's fine since you are still a sacred gear holder."
"Who are you?!" He asked, looking at her in anger.
"Since you are going to die, i can accept your last wish. I am Raynare, a fallen angel hunting the sacred gear holders." She answered as she raised her hand, making a golden javelin in her hands.
"Wait, wait, wait! I didn't do anything!!!" Kaida tried to plead, but Raynare didn't listen as she threw her javelin at him.
"Gahhhh!!" Kaida cried out in pain as the golden spear pierced him.
"I am not going to lose to someone like you," Kaida said as he looked at the fallen angel, who was laughing with joy.
"That's impossible. You are weak, and I am strong. Sooner or later, I will win."
"Shut up! I'm not going to die like that!"
"What? A dog barking back? Hahaha," Raynare wasn't just throwing her attacks. No, she was also throwing them in a way that would bring Kaida immense pain and not kill him immediately.
"Ara, Ara~ It is always enjoyable to see someone who shares the same passion as me~"
Raynare immediately was frozen. She didn't even turn around to see who it was. She immediately pushed all her strength into her wings. Just as her wings flapped, the sound of yellow light zapping rang around the streets, which was soon followed by a scream. Not Kaida, but the scream was Raynare.
"I let you escape last time, little birdie. But not this time~" The seductive tone contained a hint of venom as her hand threw another bolt of lightning toward the screaming Rynare on the ground.
"Women! Just kill her and stop playing around." Kaida cursed out loud as a massive hole was in his shoulder, making him bleed profoundly. He could summon one of the healing tears, but that would both raise this succubus's suspicion, as well as there can possibility of his secret getting out. The revelation of a being such as a fallen angel has just been revealed to him, so there is no way he can not accept there can't be devils in here too.
"My, my~ Is this a way to talk to your seniors~ Asia-chan had a lot to say about you. It seems you are a big meanie!" Puffing her pale cheeks, she teased him, making him more infuriated.
Just as Kaida's face was ready to explode, he finally released a sigh. Closing his eyes, he took a deep breath, the pain was very familiar to him from the game world, which lessened his panic. And he also stabbed himself with a silver needle, hypnotizing himself to feel no pain.
"Mmm~ It seems you are not as weak as I've thought. Now sit there for a while, cutie, I have to fix something."
Kaida started taking deep breaths though the pain was gone, his body started to feel cold and numb from too much blood loss. Just as his vision began to turn dark, he heard loud screaming and the same voice saying,
"Mmm~ *Ziizzz* Just a little more~"

"What?" Kaida questioned himself, seeing back in the game world. For a second, he wondered if that was just a dream, but the sudden pain in his shoulder made him remember it was no dream. Which caused him immediately summon his flask of crimson tears.
*Glup*
"Ha! I know I can always depend on this for a quick heal~" Satisfied seeing his shoulder healed up, he sat in front of the Site of Grace which refilled his crimson tears back.
"Oh! I almost forgot about you~" Seeing Doyle and Narcissa waiting next to him brought a smile to his face. Which soon immediately disappeared, remembering that succubus and that fallen angel who was toying with him.
'Why is that Sucubuss's voice so familiar?' Kaida thought inwardly; her voice, for some reason, brought out some nostalgia. As it was dark, and his head dizzy with pain, he didn't get a good look at her, or he was sure he would be able to recognize her.
"Hai! I am all pumped up. Let's farm Doyle and Cissy!" Remembering how powerless he was, he was determined to level as much as possible. He knew he had many mistakes like he didn't summon the spirit using the spirit bells straight away. But he thought nothing of it; the past is past, and all he could do now was strive to become stronger. If it weren't for how dangerous Caleb is, he would've already made his way toward the sleeping dragon for a butt load of Runes.
'No! I can't waste that chance for quick gain. I need the Talismen; Golden Scarab for more runes and craft that golden pickle foot for increased gain in Runes as well. Then I will make my way there.'
"It seems everything is leading me towards Patches." Musing to himself, he was ready for his journey toward where that traitorous bitch hides.
Riding on his Torrent, he immediately noticed something seeing him suddenly stop, 'Oh yeah, there should be an invader. But there is no way I am going to fight him, I will wait for the backup and let him kill that invader.'
At the Murkwarer Coast, where he just came from, there was an NPC who was called "Bloody Finger Hunter Yura." Who in the games comes to help defeat the invader when the player is near this zone? The invader was pretty easy to kill and can drop a very good dagger with bleed for the early game. But why fight when you can just sit back and watch?
In the corner of his vision, he can see a red ethereal figure menacingly making his way toward him.
"Doyle, you go and attack him!" Noticing that the Hunter was nowhere here, Kaida immediately ordered, already preparing to sacrifice one of his meat shields for him to escape.
Just as he turned Torrent to turn and run, he was surprised; The horse wasn't moving, it was neighing at him to turn his head.
"W-What?!"
The Soldier of Godrick, the field boss, which was the easiest boss in the game, the fake tutorial boss... is destroying the invader, Nerijus!
"Oh lord... You are OP!" Seeing how to destroy the invader in just three hits made Kaida's widened eyes sparkle! He didn't expect this. He thought he would die before he even reached the boss's room.
"Damnit! This guy is just too strong!" Kaida exclaimed as he saw the invader disappear, leaving behind his dagger.
With a grin on his face, he pocketed the dagger and immediately equipping in his left hand.

Just as he planned, he traveled around and let Doyle kill all the enemies making him collect all the Runes they dropped.
"You are doing great, Doyle!" He praised him, seeing him kill that lance knight, which scared him off in the early game. With the heavy knight gone, Kaida could deal with others, which he treated as practice for him. After all, he can't take Doyle in the Boss arena, he had tried, so he would need to increase his own skill for his fight against Margit, the Fell Omen.
"Grrr..."
"Oh no, don't be shy~" In a happy mood, he didn't sting away from giving Doyle the heavy armor of the knight he had just killed. Even if Kaida decided to keep it for himself, his would be too heavy for him even to move.

Nodding happily, he noticed Narcissa in the corner of his vision, standing with an impassive expression. A frown appeared on his face as he said, "What's the use of you? You take 3 Holy Nails!"

As he can summon only ten total nails, he has only three more remainings. One is always kept aside in case of emergency brainwashing, making him free with only two.
"Tch! I will wait, and once I find you useless. I will throw you away, Meatshield 1." Kaida felt he should have named her 'Meat Sheild 1' instead of beautiful Narcissa. That name is wasted on this woman, who has been nothing, just a flower trophy next to him.
'Umm... Since I have two more, I think I should get a Rotten Dog, which is useful to inflict Sacart Rot. Amazing to defeat early bosses.'
Before, he wouldn't have even thought about as the way to obtain them, as spirits are in a dangerous zone. But with Doyle and new skills, he is ready.
"But first, I need to pay a visit to a special someone~"

Back at the place where he had killed the invader, he arrived at Murkwater Cave, where Patches is hiding. With the goal of having revenge for killing him multiple times, tempting him to open the trapped chest, and kicking him off a cliff, Kaida vowed he is going to make the baldhead pay.
"Well, well, well? Thought you'd help yourself to a man's personal belongings? You scheming little thief. The gods demand repentance! Couch up your coin, all of it!"
Kaida was grinning, seeing the guy come out of hiding, he had no fear since this guy was all talk. Hell Patches was even carrying a spear and large metal shield, which immediately tells that man's personality.
So for a guy who didn't even watch a boxing match, what was the reason he wasn't sacred?
It was because of his spirit bells. Unlike in the game, where it was restricted in some places, in real worlds here, it was unrestricted.
Wiggling his bells, he summoned the wolves and said, "CHARGE!"
His minions charged toward the enemy, but the guy was too cocky, not realizing he was fighting against them. He was too stupid to notice each of the wolves had a nail in its mouth.
"Hmph!"
Patches swung his shield, hitting one wolf and causing it to fall. But the other wolves were still charging, and they were right in front of him.
"Gah!"
The other wolves were also hit by the man, but he was too strong, and they couldn't do much damage to him.
"You are a fool to believe you can beat me with such pathetic creatures."
"Guh!"
A wolf jumped at the man, trying to bite him, but he easily dodged.
"Gaaaah!"
The man was laughing, saying, "What a bunch of dumb animals! You think you can hurt me with your filthy teeth?"
But before he could continue, he immediately felt a scratch on his shoulder, which made him immediately dizzy.
"Eek!"
Seeing the wolves charge towards him, he tried to raise his shield, trying to block the attack. But his shield was easily knocked aside by a single blow, as he couldn't concentrate properly.
"Guh!"
Another strike hit his shoulder, and he fell onto the ground. He couldn't even stand back up. His spear was even knocked away.
"This is a trap! I knew you were coming! I am going to kill you, you rat!" Kaida rushed towards him while the wolves immobilized him on the ground.
"Holy Nail Thrust!"
Kaida trusted his nail into the belly of the man, who was yelling, "Agh! Stop! I'm surrendering! I will give you everything I have!"
"Gwaaah!" Patches cried as he saw his body covered in blood; he was bleeding profusely. He looked down at his hand as he realized that a nail in his stomach, looking at the wound that was gushing red fluid from it.
With a content smile on his face, Kaida stood there, summoning a nail in his plan. With a twisted grin on his face, he said, "It's brainwashing time~"

"Blah!" In the corner of the cave, Kaida can be seen puking his guts out. After all, he did use all of his nails to stab someone literally and even watched him ripped apart by those wolves.
"So much for a nice revenge~"
He thought about using his nails to hypnotize himself to act normal after what he saw. But he was already too dependent on it like a drug. So it would be better to deal with his own emotions as a man!
"I guess that's all," He wiped his mouth with a cloth and left the cave. He wanted to return to his real world. Maybe after all this, it would be easier for him to deal with the memories with a phone in front of him. After all, he was just a student. He doesn't want to become that kind of person. Too bad the world is already making him without him knowing.
"At least I was able to steal everything he had, which is worth thousands of runes." A content smile appeared on his face remembering how much he had shoved in his inventory. He even had a change of outfit, as the one Patches were wearing was more comfortable to move freely and wildly his size.

"Muahahaha!" Kaida, seeing his inventory, couldn't help but laugh maniacally. Not only had he gotten revenge, but also robbed him completely.
"This guy sure has some items on him. He must have been really rich if he could afford all that stuff. Now I don't have to worry about finding Golden-Pickled Fowl Foot anywhere..."
The only thing that bothered him was the fact that he wasn't able to kill him properly. He had to be a coward and let the wolves do it. Even though the wolf was no match for him, he didn't have any other choice because if he tried to fight them one-on-one, there would be blood everywhere. There was also the danger of him chickening out in the end, as it was unknown if he really had the guts to kill a human by hand.
Until now, he had been letting Doyle kill all the soldiers, which might change now as he was prepared to get his first kill. Knowing if he goes back to the world, he would need to face the Succubus and the fallen angel, he was ready to kill.
'But not now, maybe later~'
