Nila gasped as she covered her mouth with her hands surprised that she let out such a sound.

She clutched Cyrus's coat, ''Wait, Sol, let's get back to the ball, people...people might be waiting for us,''

Cyrus stepped away, took a deep breath, and chuckled, ''Now look who is pushing away, but yeah, we should go back.''

The doors to the ballroom opened once more, and Cyrus led Nila back inside, their earlier conversation leaving a warmth between them that eased the tension she'd been carrying. The soft hum of chatter and laughter swept over them like a wave, but this time, it felt different and lighter, more manageable.

Nila glanced up at Cyrus, who gave her hand a reassuring squeeze before releasing it. The room seemed more vivid, the lights more golden, the music more inviting.
