Kapitel 6: Chapter 6: Departure

...

Zeng Yi's Diary:

1. On the first day after the silly system left, the village chief had someone install a new wooden door for me, and I began my journey of soul power cultivation.

2. Two months after the silly system left, I have cultivated from level four soul power to level five. I say I am the most rubbish transmigrator, does anyone have any objections?

3. Five months after the silly system left, I was truly foolish, really. If I had opened the space bracelet the system gave me earlier, it would have been great. The system left me a bunch of things, such as auxiliary materials for cultivation, the Soul Beasts Encyclopedia from Douluo Continent, and so on. This stupid system didn't even say goodbye properly and hurriedly left to have fun. Sigh~

Enough talk, I'm going to study... If I don't understand Soul Beasts well, I won't have a clue about anything when the time comes!

Two years later...

Lala Village, at the entrance.

"Village Chief Grandpa, this is as far as you need to accompany me. I will take good care of myself," Zeng Yi said to the village chief, Mara.

He was dressed in a grey-blue cloth robe, with a grey belt tied around his waist. His wrists were adorned with black wristbands, and he carried an iron sword on his back. His black hair was tied up in a ponytail at the back of his head, and he had bangs hanging in front of his forehead. With his handsome appearance, he exuded a heroic aura.

The only flaw was his short stature. Though what can he expect? He was only eight years old.

After two years, Zeng Yi was now eight years old, and due to the influence of soul power cultivation, he had grown to around 1.5 meters tall.

During these two years, Zeng Yi had finally cultivated his soul power to level ten. Once his soul power reached level ten, he would need to hunt Soul Beasts to obtain soul rings in order to continue cultivating.

Therefore, he needed to leave the village now and hunt for soul rings.

Zeng Yi had informed Chief Mara about his ability to cultivate soul power, as Mara was the person he was closest to. Moreover, Mara had always hoped that a Soul Master would emerge from Lala Village, which was his lifelong dream.

When Mara learned about Zeng Yi suddenly having soul power, he was extremely excited. As for why he developed soul power, he didn't think much about it. Perhaps there was a problem with the previous soul power measurement; it didn't show any results!

"Little Yi! Are you really leaving?" Mara couldn't bear to part with him. Looking at the boy in front of him, who was almost a teenager and taller than himself now, he sighed.

"Of course!" Zeng Yi said firmly. "Wasn't it your wish for a Soul Master to come out of Lala Village? I will definitely make it happen."

"Ah~" Mara sighed.

"Becoming a Soul Master is not that easy. You know, at the beginning... I'm afraid that once you leave, you will never... sigh~"

"Little Yi, don't go out. Even if you don't become a Soul Master, you can still live a good life," Mara advised.

He had come to terms with it. If he caused a child to lose their life because of his dream, he wouldn't be at peace even in death. He was afraid that Zeng Yi would never come back, just like his parents.

"What are you saying, Grandpa? Isn't this your dream? We made a promise. Besides, I am very strong. You can rest assured!" Zeng Yi smiled confidently and reassured Mara.

"Have you really made up your mind?"

"Yes! I don't want to live an ordinary life. Even if it means death, I want to live brilliantly."

Seeing Zeng Yi's determined and confident expression as he said those words, Mara knew that there was nothing he could say anymore. He could only shake his head with a bitter smile.

"Alright then! I won't say anything more."

He then took out a few coins from his pocket, put them in Zeng Yi's hand, and held it in his own.

"These are five silver soul coins. Grandpa can only give this much. Take it!"

Zeng Yi looked at the cold silver coins in his hand, feeling warm inside.

In Douluo, one gold soul coin was enough for an average family to live on for a year. One gold soul coin was equal to ten silver soul coins, which was equal to one hundred copper-silver coins. Lala Village was a very poor village, and the people here relied mainly on farming for their living. Although Mara was the village chief, he was not wealthy. These five silver soul coins were his savings, and he gave them all to Zeng Yi. It was evident that he regarded Zeng Yi as his own grandson.

"Thank you, Grandpa!"

Zeng Yi didn't refuse. It was a gift from his elder, and one cannot decline such a gift. He would not disappoint Mara's kindness.

Mara extended his old palm and gently stroked Zeng Yi's cheek. Zeng Yi could feel the warmth of the hand, trembling slightly. Looking at it, Mara's eyes also glistened with tears.

"Go!"

"Grandpa..."

Seeing Mara's expression, Zeng Yi's nose also tingled, tears swirling in his eyes.

"I'm going..."

"I will definitely become an excellent Soul Master and return with honor!"

Zeng Yi shouted loudly and walked away without looking back.

Looking up, biting his lip, trying hard not to let his tears fall, he dared not turn around, afraid that he wouldn't be able to resist running back. His journey shouldn't stop here.

Mara stood at the village entrance, straight and tall, watching Zeng Yi's figure becoming smaller and smaller until it disappeared.

You must come back! Otherwise, I won't forgive you. I won't...

Forgive myself...

...

Douluo Continent, Star Luo Empire.

"La la~ la la~ la la la la..."

Inside the Star Luo Imperial City, a young girl walked along the lively streets, humming a tune. She moved with a skip in her step, giving off a cheerful aura as if she were a butterfly flying through flowers.

She had a tall figure and smooth, black hair that cascaded down to her waist. With her slender and arched eyebrows and a pair of watery eyes, she had a delicate face. She wore a light blue dress that accentuated her well-proportioned figure, appearing like an elegant and agile elf.

Her actions attracted the attention of passersby, who cast their gazes toward her. Upon seeing the girl's fairy-like beauty, men admired her while women envied her. She had become a beautiful sight on this street.

"So this is the imperial city of the Star Luo Empire. It's truly bustling!" the girl murmured to herself.

"From now on, I'll have a great time! I'll indulge in all the delicious food here until I get tired of it, and play until I'm exhausted. Hahaha~"

As the girl spoke, she stopped in the middle of the street, crossed her arms, and burst into laughter.

Her sudden behavior startled the people passing by, and they cast strange looks at her.

Is this girl crazy?

That was the thought in the minds of the onlookers.

However, the girl paid no attention to their gazes, as if they didn't exist.

Then, she put her hand under her chin and started to ponder something.

"I wonder how that fool of mine... No, how is that idiot of mine doing?" she said to herself.

"Never mind, it doesn't matter what he's up to."

Shaking her head, the girl dismissed the thought. Right now, all she needed to do was to enjoy her journey to the fullest.
