Ruth Dawn, driven by worry, did not leave. She and William Cole waited in the lounge outside the operating room.

William Cole smiled, "You could have tried to stop it."

"If I tried to stop them now, it would seem like I have an ulterior motive."

"Although Shizuka and I are good friends, there are limits between friends. I'm not her parent. Her fiancé is here making the decisions for her, I can't interfere too much."

Dr. Cole leaned back on a chair in the lounge, "You've changed a lot."

"Have I changed?"

Ruth turned around and looked at Dr. Cole with hesitation.

Dr. Cole nodded with a smile, "The old Ruth was stubborn."
