"What did you say?
You dare, Ruth Dawn!" William's eyes were red with rage as he abruptly rose, staring angrily at Ruth.
Ruth's pretty face remained calm, the corners of her mouth even curling into a slight smile. "Why are you yelling?"
"Do you think if you raise your voice, it will intimidate me? Sit down, sit down first."
Seeing how composed Ruth was, William took a deep breath, forcefully repressing his anger, and followed her instruction to sit down slowly.
William asked, "Why?"
Ruth gave a desolate smile, "Why? Do I even have to explain myself? I've been barely living this life from the beginning, never for myself."
"My parents, my family, my company, my career...and now there's a child. I will be more and more troubled, more and more restrained."
"If it weren't for this child, I could take a risk and go do what I wish!"
"Because of this child, I've lost so much."
