Kapitel 41: And there was an Angel

Lucifer sat on a high stool by the bar. He sipped vodka and watched as the night slowly sprung to life. The music got louder and more people began to troop in: cops, crooks, businessmen, and lawyers alike, all looking to blow off some steam and get some excitement of which the hookers and drug dealers hanging around were more than willing to provide.

A young lady approached the bar. She was blonde and wore a flurry designer jacket. Lucifer couldn't help but keep his eyes away from the end of her short gown. It was halfway between her knees and hip. It hugged her thigh tightly and seemed to slide upward just a fraction of an inch with each step she took.

She caught Lucifer staring and gave him a sultry gaze, her red cherry lipstick popping. Lucifer returned her smile. For a moment, it seemed as though she was approaching him and he waited in anticipation. But then she turned to an older, chubby man three stools to his right. Lucifer smiled again.
