Kapitel 54: The Mask Slips

Olive's thoughts drifted back to when Lucas had confessed to her that he was gay and he liked her.

'Did he agree to help me with the debate competition because he had feelings for me all along and only recently found the courage to tell me?' Olive gasped.

"What's wrong now?" Mark asked, his concern evident as he looked at Olive.

"It's nothing," Olive replied, trying to calm her racing heart. "I want to go back to school."

"Now? But you're still injured," Mark said, looking surprised. "I thought you would stay at my house until tomorrow."

"Don't stand in my way, Mark. I've already told you how important this competition is to me. Take me back to school. I need to see Lucas," Olive said, her voice and expression serious.

"Please step out for a moment while I change into this uniform," Olive said firmly, her gaze fixed on Mark.
