The scroll of the second age begins:

The world, as you know it today, was once divided into five distinct ages, as recorded in the ancient scrolls of the Guardians. These scrolls were lost to history after the tragic destruction of Eldtrorse.

The Red Knight, Skad, was finally free. Imprisoned for millennia due to his role in the War of Bloods, he had once been a Guardian, driven mad by power and a twisted desire for justice. He had raised an army of Gobloids, dark creatures forged through black magic, and declared war on humanity, seeking to eradicate mankind from the twelve realms. Men resisted, aided by the Elves, who feared becoming Skad's next target. No mortal army could stand against the Red Knight, forcing the Guardians to intervene and save the realms. Skad was banished to the prison of Spislunds.

But Spislunds couldn't hold him forever. Now free, Skad sought vengeance against the Guardians and the twelve realms. With his old army at his side, he emerged from Spislunds, freeing a Great Dragon under his command. The Guardians of Eldtrorse heard the news. Though weakened, three of them would set out to unite the twelve realms before it was too late. Little did they know, the realms were already at war with each other, divided by racial tensions.
