Kapitel 40: Chapter 39 - Repeated Conspiracy

He laid her on the bed and she looked back at him tiredly. He tucked her into bed, the candles he had just lit allowing light in the room.

"I don't know what to say. You did so much to save me, Diamant." He said while he sat next to her on the bed.

She swallowed hard and closed her eyes.

"I thought I would die." She said quietly and he place a hand on her forehead in a bid to comfort her. She was burning slightly.

"I think you are sick, Diamant. I will get Doctor Rika here as soon as possible." Aaron said and stood up but Diamant stopped him.

"No! I think I am just so scared and I feel a little odd with all that roaring." He looked at her trying to see if it was true and she gave him a convincing smile.

He came back and sat next to her. His eyes filled with affection. This woman had done everything to make sure he stayed alive, even to the point of sacrificing herself. She could have left him all alone there but she did not.
