Kapitel 195: Chapter 194 - Battling Falling Stars

Malik pulled the reins, stopping the horses, making the wheels of the carriage halt.

"Why did we stop?" Aliyah asked, her back against the carriage seat she sat upon, her voice filled with fatigue.

They had been running for many days and nights now, they were running low on food, water and the special medicinal liquid they were using to keep Aaron alive.

"The horses are tired. We don't want them to fall to their death. We WI rest here tonight."

Aliyah staggered up on her feet, leaning against the carriage walls for support till she finally pushed open the door and staggered out.

She could hear the chirping of crickets and the boots of the owls from some distance away.

They had escaped from the Black forest a day or two ago, she couldn't really tell. Somehow, she was already losing track of time.

She held her knees for support as she gazed on the stars in the sky.

There was a sudden bang and she flicked staggering back, falling into Malik's open arms.
