"Well strange seven year old boy," he glared. "Run home. I'm leaving."
"I am waiting for my parents. They are in the night market."
"Can't you go home on your own?"
"I can. I memorized the way but it will make my whole family worried if I go missing even if it is only a short while. I hate to worry them."
Joseph stance flattered for a moment at those words.
Those words had reminded him of himself.
Although, he didn't know his own parents but he had a family. A woman back at the Fire Tribe that trained them all to be the warriors they were today. He had been picked to come to the Capital after so many trainings.
He had been so happy that day and his family had been happy for him.
But this boy and him were so different. This boy hated scars, this boy was lazy and he had no ounce of self sacrifice in him even though he was just seven.
Seven?
He even sounded too smart to be seven? Too future thinking.
Could he be lying?
"I'm leaving."
