The sound of a female's voice came intermittently through the telephone receiver; a thin fog had enveloped Belfast today, slightly affecting communications.

Seated in the armchair behind the desk, Lu Li replied before hanging up the phone.

It seemed that the remaining commission fee couldn't be retrieved for the time being.

Outside the window, the streets were hazy, and residents moved across the cobblestone paths in the morning mist. It was somewhat surprising not to find Anna sitting by the window; she hovered by the door, resting her chin on her hands and gazing intently at the sculpture.

Anna had been in this state since Lu Li awoke.
