Alita planned to make a lot of money and then continue with her construction of Sirius, the sooner she finishes the most important parts of the star the sooner she can be settled.

The money in her business account wasn't enough to deal with what she needed. The mansion on the star was not even yet fully done and there were still many other things that needed to be done.
