Kapitel 35: You're starting to intimidate me

"Oh, Mr Preston, we were just talking about you." Tessy said,

"Really? What about?" Mason inquired, looking at Chad.

"Well, Chad here wants to cooperate with our company, so I was just referring you to him." Tessy stated.

"Chad?" Mason raised an eyebrow. She called his name so intimately, like they knew each other for a long time, whereas she never called him by name.

"I believe we've met before." Chad stretched his hand to shake him. At first Mason stared at his hand but eventually accepted it.

"Yeah! We've met once or twice."

"So I'd be pleased to say that we'll have a happy cooperation?"

"Yeah, happy cooperation." Mason didn't let go of Chad's hand and Chad could feel that he was holding a grudge.

The atmosphere was awkward and Tessy could feel a sense of malice between the both of them but most especially Mason.

"I think it's time we start leaving." Tessy suggested and Mason let go. She sighed in relief. "Bye, Chad!"
