Kapitel 52: Chapter 52 (edited)

Kara had spent three years traveling the world, dedicating one of those years entirely to visiting renowned martial arts masters recommended by Bruce Wayne. Like Bruce, she had mastered every form of combat and martial arts discipline known to humanity.

But Bruce was unaware of Kara's greatest secret. She was a Kryptonian who had lived on Earth for twenty-eight years. Saturated in the golden sunlight for decades, her strength was beyond compare, far surpassing the limits of human potential. She could crush mountains with a single blow and move faster than the eye could follow. This immense power made her an unstoppable force, capable of taking down an opponent in an instant.

The League of Shadows was skilled—lethal even—but against Kara, they were hopelessly outmatched.

Kara lunged forward with a fluidity that combined precision and brutal efficiency. Her kick connected with a shadow assassin's chest, sending him flying before her second kick struck another with seamless momentum. Her movements were as graceful as they were destructive, a lethal dance that left no room for error.

Her opponents froze in stunned silence, struggling to comprehend the sheer speed and force of her attacks.

Kara glanced at the rest of the assassins, her voice distorted by a subtle modulator embedded in her gear. "Tonight, the hunters become the hunted," she growled, her tone dripping with menace.

The League of Shadows hesitated, their reputation for unwavering discipline faltering under the weight of Kara's overwhelming presence. Fear flickered in their eyes, but they steeled themselves. They were trained for this—conditioned to face death without flinching.

But they had never faced someone like Kara.

In an instant, she disappeared from their sight, reappearing in front of an assassin before he could react. Without a second's hesitation, she executed a Wing Chun strike, her palm slamming into his chest with enough force to shatter his ribs and stop his heart.

The others had no time to process what had happened before Kara moved again. Her speed was unparalleled, a blur of destruction cutting through the ranks of the League. She alternated between precise martial arts techniques and simple, devastating punches and kicks, each strike imbued with her Kryptonian strength.

Bodies dropped one by one, each assassin felled before they could retaliate.

When Kara reached the last remaining assassin, he was visibly trembling, his composure shattered. Desperation crept into his voice as he stammered, "Who… who are you? No human should have this kind of power. Your speed… your strength…"

Kara tilted her head, her crimson cape billowing behind her like a specter of doom. "Tonight, none of you leave alive," she said coldly, her modulated voice resonating with finality.

The assassin swallowed hard but forced himself to stand his ground. "Ra's al Ghul is immortal. You can't kill him—or us."

Kara chuckled, a dark, almost mocking sound. "Immortality?" she repeated. "There's no such thing. Even legends like Krypton fell. The universe itself has an end. Do you truly believe a mortal man could defy the inevitable?"

The assassin faltered, her words clearly rattling him. "What… what do you mean?"

Kara stepped closer, her crimson gaze piercing through him. "Have you heard of Apokolips? The Source Wall? The Monitor and the Anti-Monitor? No? Then you know nothing of true power, let alone eternity."

Without waiting for his reply, Kara's hand shot out, her grip crushing his throat in an instant. The assassin's neck snapped with a sickening crack.

"Even the strongest fall eventually," she muttered, letting his lifeless body slump to the ground.

Surveying the scene, Kara allowed herself a brief moment to exhale. There were no other threats left. Everyone—Bruce included—was either gone or incapacitated.

Her enhanced senses located the train Bruce had boarded earlier, and her x-ray vision cut through the dense fog to reveal the chaos inside. Ra's al Ghul and his remaining forces were locked in combat with Bruce, who was holding his own but was visibly outnumbered and struggling. Kara knew Bruce was skilled, but he didn't have the Kryptonian resilience that allowed her to endure and dominate battles like this.

Taking a blade from one of the fallen assassins, she examined its craftsmanship for a moment before discarding it. She didn't need weapons. She was the weapon.

With a determined expression, Kara took to the sky. Her crimson cape flared behind her as she soared toward the speeding train, her mind focused on the task ahead.

She whispered to herself, her voice resolute, "Life and death are part of the cycle. But tonight, they die."
