Kapitel 31: Chapter 31 (edited)

That night, Kara, Jonathan, and Martha took Clark to see the spaceship that had brought him to Earth. Jonathan handed Clark a special device, one that had been kept safely for him due to his young age. It was more than just the key to the ship—it was the activation switch for an advanced AI system containing invaluable data and knowledge.

This AI wasn't just a tool for managing the ship; it was akin to J.A.R.V.I.S., the intelligent butler of Iron Man. Kryptonian technology was so advanced that families of notable status often had personal AI assistants, capable of managing their households, assisting in combat, and even serving as powerful defense mechanisms.

The data within the device not only contained general knowledge about Krypton but also detailed information specific to the House of El. It held answers to Clark's questions about his origins, his family, and his purpose. Kara, more familiar with Kryptonian tech, activated the ship's systems using her own controller, revealing holograms of their biological parents, Jor-El and Lara, as well as images of her own family members, including Alura and her aunt, General Astra.

It was through these records that Kara pieced together unsettling truths: her aunt, along with General Zod, had been imprisoned in the Phantom Zone for rebellion against Krypton. The idea of facing her own family member as an adversary was deeply troubling to her.

Meanwhile, Clark struggled to process the enormity of his heritage. Days passed, and his mind remained occupied with the knowledge that he was not fully human but a Kryptonian sent to Earth under extraordinary circumstances.

Kara comforted him, reassuring him that both parts of his identity—Kryptonian and human—were valid.

"You're not just Kal-El of Krypton," she told him. "You're Clark Kent of Earth. Both identities are equally true. You are you, and there's no conflict in that."

Her words, combined with the unconditional love of Jonathan and Martha, helped Clark find peace. He accepted that while he was not biologically their son, they were still his parents in every way that mattered.

As Kara guided Clark through this revelation, she advised him to approach the discovery of his Kryptonian legacy gradually. She suggested he complete his studies and gain life experience before seeking the Fortress of Solitude in the Arctic.

"I've already graduated from college," she teased. "Don't make me look bad. You've got to at least get through college, Clark!"

Her encouragement, paired with Clark's natural aptitude for learning, helped him refocus on his life on Earth. The Kent household returned to its peaceful routine, with both Kara and Clark cherishing the bond they shared with Jonathan and Martha.

During the following days, Martha accompanied Kara on a trip to the nearby town to shop for clothes. Kara picked up a mix of outfits, from casual jeans to professional attire for her planned job search in Metropolis. Though times and fashion had changed, Kara still preferred pants over skirts, a choice she carried over into her professional wardrobe.

Back at the farm, Kara reconnected with old friends through letters and phone calls. She learned that her childhood companions, Jennifer and Dani, had achieved significant success. Jennifer had become a determined prosecutor in Metropolis, while Dani had taken up a role in a secretive government agency.

Their accomplishments inspired Kara to reevaluate her plans. Though she had enjoyed her time at home, it was clear to her that her next step lay in Metropolis.

"It's time to get back out there," she thought, determined not to be left behind.

A few days later, Kara bid farewell to her family and boarded a train to Metropolis, ready to face the challenges of the city once more. Her heart was filled with determination as she set out to carve her path and honor both her Kryptonian heritage and her life on Earth.
