Kapitel 21: Chapter 21: World Sensation

A/N: Here is our bonus chap! There's still one mission. The 1k stones, but I'm pretty sure that it will not be reached so let's just enjoy it and also continue giving me the stones!

The New York Times, often referred to simply as "The Times," is a daily newspaper published in New York, with a worldwide circulation and significant influence. It's considered a representative of high-quality newspapers and serious publications in the United States.

Inside The New York Times office:

Jupiter was a young journalist with an elegant figure, blonde hair, and a serious demeanor. Even among major newspapers like The New York Times, she stood out as an outstanding reporter.

Despite her young age, she voluntarily ventured to the frontlines of war, experiencing capture by one warring faction. Yet, she managed to persuade high-level officials from both sides to gain insights into the details of the conflict. She returned to New York unharmed and published the most comprehensive report on the multi-sided war. Her name became synonymous with exceptional reporting during that time.

As she contemplated whether to focus on the Pacific Rim Project, which had dealt a devastating blow to the monsters, or to pay more attention to the consequences of NATO's changing stance in the face of an extraterrestrial monster invasion, she suddenly noticed something unusual.

"What's this...?"

Jupiter, lost in thought, saw a video pop up in the top right corner of The New York Times' official website. She couldn't help but wonder; she hadn't received any prior notification that The New York Times' official website would allow such low-quality pop-up ads.

Could they have been paid a significant sum for this?

"Overfed and foolish leadership."

Jupiter's face grew stern, and she was not pleased. She had joined The New York Times because of its traditional style, characterized by nobility and seriousness. The newspaper was known for its commitment to seeking the truth without fear or favor, without bias or influence from any political party, region, or special interest. She considered it a genuine source of news that disclosed what the public wanted to know.

If The New York Times accepted such a low-quality pop-up ad, she would be deeply disappointed. Perhaps, over time, the newspaper had lost its original purpose and was now pursuing financial interests and profits.

Jupiter clicked on several of the latest international news articles on the official website, but the ad in the upper right corner remained persistent.

Unable to contain her frustration, Jupiter stood up from her seat and vented her anger at her superiors.

"Charlie, you piece of garbage! Have we at The New York Times sunk this low? Allowing these pop-up ads on our official website?"

In the otherwise silent office, voices of agreement began to chime in one after another.

"Yeah, that's right! Charlie is a piece of garbage!"

"Charlie is acting unreasonably! He didn't even pay for the last meal."

"Charlie's behavior is despicable. Next time, he should treat us to a meal!"

"Charlie, say something! Don't hide in the editor's office; come out and treat everyone to a meal!"

"Jupiter, something is wrong. It's not just our official website; all major media outlets, including the News Group, NBC Universal, Disney, Time Warner, and others, have this video on their websites. Something is seriously amiss!"

Some reporters who were browsing the internet suddenly exclaimed loudly.

"Whose advertisement can reach all the official websites of world media conglomerates? It's not just about money, and I've noticed that no matter which website you open, this ad is placed in the upper right corner."

This isn't an advertisement; it's a virus, possibly a worldwide network virus.

The office fell silent in an instant, and the atmosphere grew tense.

Jupiter realized that something was amiss and quickly sat down, swiftly browsing through various websites. No matter which website she visited, as long as it was online, this ad was present.

This was highly unusual.

She clicked on the ad.

At first, it showed H'el's figure suddenly appearing in the stratosphere, falling from the sky to Anchorage Base, then the arrangements involving 21 countries, the controversial decisions regarding dealing with extraterrestrial beings, the revelation of their ability to extend life, the plan to hang them and drain their blood, and finally, their discovery of their psychic powers. It ended by displaying text.

"On February 29th, Anchorage Base, extraterrestrials will answer everything about Earth's future. World media outlets are welcome to attend."

Jupiter was left utterly stunned.

It was like something out of science fiction.

This was entirely a super sci-fi and exhilarating short film.

But it was also too real.

Which special effects company could create something like this?

Jupiter immediately contacted her friend at Industrial Light & Magic.

"Jupe, I know why you're contacting me. This is real, without any special effects. After the extraterrestrial monster invasion in the Pacific, we're now dealing with an extraterrestrial from space. By the way, I'm already in love with the extraterrestrial. I think I've become a supporter of space aliens."

Jupiter couldn't be bothered with her infatuated friend.

She was a journalist and understood the magnitude of what was happening. The decisions made by those 21 countries, which had been displayed on the screen, were enough to make them infamous for eternity.

If the extraterrestrials did anything to Earth in response to those 21 screens, they would truly be the target of global condemnation.

The video's creator was considerate enough to include a comment section below the video.

The most-liked comment at the moment was: "The Space Extraterrestrial Support Group is here!"

"Human's inherent flaws are really on full display, hahaha..."

"Our human elites, is this what they're up to?"

"Truth be told, this extraterrestrial is excessively good-looking. Even as a guy, I find myself captivated."

"I love the Pacific monsters, I love the Pacific monsters!"

"The Pacific extraterrestrial monsters can go die, space extraterrestrials are the strongest! [Proud.jpg]"

"Is this for real? Another extraterrestrial invasion? Damn, why is this extraterrestrial so good-looking! [Shocked.jpg]"

"You all need to calm down; the situation is very serious now."

"I'll carefully screenshot the appearances of the high-ranking officials from 21 countries. Everyone who showed up is among the top figures in the world. This is going to be interesting, hahaha."

"Space extraterrestrials are bound to win. Just look at this video; it's been on all websites continuously, and humans are powerless to take it down. It's safe to say that the space extraterrestrials possess network technology surpassing the entire Earth."

"Let's wait for the high-ranking officials from 21 countries to come out and apologize. There's a good show coming."

"Our country's president... sigh... [Deep mourning.jpg]"

"God will eventually cleanse the world of sin! Now join the True Space God Religion and receive a beautiful wallpaper. [Click to open image]"

"I'm willing to offer myself to the space extraterrestrials in exchange for Earth's peace!"

"Wait a minute, why aren't we mentioning the Pacific extraterrestrial monsters?"

"Setting aside the facts, aren't the extraterrestrials at fault as well? [Reasonable.jpg]"

"They're having a meeting, a United Nations meeting."

Jupiter scrolled through the comments section.

The first comment was incredibly offbeat, focusing on the extraterrestrial's appearance and even creating a Space Extraterrestrial Support Group!

Her sense of reality was shattered.

Jupiter closed the comments section and pondered carefully.

Why was this video boldly displayed on the internet? It was most likely to convey that the extraterrestrials had issues with them, indirectly attempting to let all of humanity pass judgment on them.

But it was probably just a bit of wicked humor on the part of the extraterrestrials.

Having this video on all webpages was already the beginning of a bad signal from the extraterrestrials.

Jupiter could almost imagine that with the extraterrestrials' control over the global network, combined with their steel body capable of exceeding Mach 40, Earth might be getting a new master.

Jupiter stood up abruptly, slammed her hands on the table, and declared, "I'm going to Anchorage!"
