Kapitel 1: Prolouge
"Congradulations!"
I blinked, looking at the figure of light in front of me. No, it wasn't light, it was like the world around him was drawn and he was an outline of a human that someone forgot to draw.
Processing that information, I sighed.
"Can't even go to the afterlife, can I?"
The figure in front of me chuckled and started walking around me as if I was a very interesting bug that he found.
"I can't believe it, man, you actually did a flip for the memes! That was epic!"
I chuckled myself, at least I gave the world something to meme about, but seriously, saying that my death was epic was kind of a stretch.
"Just because of that! You get to reincarnate... Okay, Transmigrate into a new world!"
I blinked, frowned, and stared down the thing that might or might not be a god suspiciously.
"What's the catch?"
The question left my lips before I could even think about it and silence descended around us, the only indication that there was indeed a catch was that the guy turned his head and started scratching the back of his head.
"Well... You see, the catch is... You don't get to choose where you go and who you go as..."
I deadpanned, that was a great catch. Always wanted to be a cat, to be honest. If I was lucky, I would get adopted and be the asshole that everybody loved, if not, well... I could still be an asshole that everybody wanted to pet in the street.
"You will be a Kryptonian!-"
Shit.
"With half Viltrumite DNA!"
Fuck.
I took a deep breath and released a mile long sigh.
"Hey, hey! what's with that sigh? You are like... The perfect hybrid! Aren't you glad? Thankful?"
I looked at him, unimpressed.
"Why do you think I'm here?"
He stopped and shrugged uncaringly. Scowling, I crossed my arms and raised an eyebrow. Undeterred with my displeasure, he continued.
"And you will be in... The DC Universe!"
I groaned.
That universe? That thing has a consistency of a child with Autism and ADHD combined! I don't even know all of the movies, let alone comics.
"Aw comn! I'm trying here! You know how long it took for me to do this shit! There are others who have been doing reincarnations and transmigrations for eons and here I am, waiting for your merger civilization to evolve enough so that the concept of reincarnation is a wet dream for any Shut in! That takes a long fucking time! Be fucking grateful!"
I raised an eyebrow at his tangent and waited for him to finish Hyperventelating.
Finally, he straightened up and coughed into his hand.
"My Apologies."
Putting his hand behind his back, he looked at me... I didn't know how he looked at me, his face was blank.
"Why?"
The question was simple, but it caused him to tilt his head to the side.
"Entertainment, why else?"
Great.
"What if I decline?"
He shrugged.
"You don't really have a choice."
I narrowed my eyes, trying to find a loophole.
"If I don't change anything? You send me there, only for me to lead a normal life."
This time, he laughs like I just told a very good joke.
"Oh, really, that's cute. But I will be reincarnating you until you give me what I want, you will break eventually."
Well... That sounded very unpleasant.
