Kapitel 132: [Fake Prizes]

Xia Mengrui released her hold on Xia Lihua, went to the door, and swung it open. As Jiang Shenqi hurried into the room, she was not only surprised to find Xia Mengrui. Then her eyes fell on Xia Lihua's bleeding forehead.

She rushed to her daughter and quickly hugged her. "Baby what happened to you?" 

Before Xia Lihua could say anything Xia Mengrui interjected, "She accidentally hit her head on the table."

Jiang Shenqi glanced at the music sheets on the table, now stained with blood, and then turned her narrowed gaze toward Xia Mengrui. "What are you doing here?"

"I heard Xia Lihua screaming and came to help her." 

"Why was the door locked?"

"Oh, the door got stuck, Aunt Jiang."

Jiang Shenqi continued to eye Xia Mengrui skeptically. "Stuck? I've never had issues with this door before."

Xia Mengrui shrugged nonchalantly. "Must be a one-time thing, Aunt Jiang. You know how old these doors can be."
