Kapitel 242: Death Mark*

The sudden development caught all the spectating angels off guard, and they could only watch, shell-shocked, as Kalliēl crashed to the ground while clutching his right hip, his majestic wings thrashing in pain, toppling the charred trees and stirring up a massive storm of dust. 

Even through a distance, the sizzling sound of burnt flesh echoed loud and clear beside their ears, followed by a foul, sickening odor which belonged to the demon. 

A muffled groan slipped out of Kalliēl lips as he painstakingly clawed at his humanoid body where a small section on his right hip rapidly turned rotten. A torrent of black blood seeped out between his trembling fingers, but in the next moment, the body's remarkable regenerative ability kicked in and the wound stitched itself together at a speed visible to naked eyes. 

But it did not end there.
