Kapitel 34: Stubborn As A fly

"No, I will not get down on my knees," I responded, my voice carrying the stench of a belligerent challenge.

It was so funny; the way he thought that I would tremble and give in to his will was such a comical fact that I couldn't get over it. It made me want to laugh out loud.

I wasn't going to let anyone use me as a puppet, and the sooner he realized that the better off we were all going to be in the long run.

His amber eyes burst into flames all of a sudden… the intensity of the flames threatened to consume me completely. 

If appearances could be fatal, I'd probably be buried at a depth of three meters or more by now. Despite this, I remained unfazed by the malicious look he was throwing at me. 

I was smart enough not to immediately submit to his command by bowing down to the ground before him just because he said to.
