"Ben, can you please explain why you didn't want me in that room? What was it that I wasn't supposed to see that was actually in there; huh?" I enquired once more, but this time I made sure to sound more insistent than I had before.

Naturally, I wasn't going to let on that I was aware of what was contained within it because I didn't want to be found out. In order to ensure that my assurance would not be called into question, I kept a straight face and skillfully covered up any sign that was related to the unexpected discovery that I had made.

They had the impression that I was a typical member of the human race, and I was happy to let them maintain that assumption until they learned otherwise.
