Alex and his team were back at their base resting from the clash. Alex lay on the ground thinking about the discussion he had with Light.

"Do you really want to know what's happening to you," the voice played in his head.

"That guy... he's just using you. All he wants is to free himself. You think I don't know you accepted his deal. These are the side effects of his powers. You're being affected by his malevolent nature."

"What he's saying, is that true?" He had asked the system at that time but got no reply. One thing he had in mind was to stay focused on the goal, getting back to the city and meeting up with his sister.

"Host profile," Alex muttered weakly, staring at the screen that popped up before him.
