(Morax: POV)
A smile on my face I watched the sun rise through my bedroom window.
A week has passed since we achieved victory in the Great Feud.
Just like in canon Ottar defeated Zald and became level seven. While Astraea familia prevailed over Alfia and all of them leveled up as well.
But they aren't the only ones.
Due to my familia's feet against Delphyne we all also achieved the requirements necessary to level up.
Which we did.
We also exposed our true levels to the entire city after everything was said and done.
But we didn't get into too much trouble.
Sure, we had a pay a fine to the Guild but that was about it.
Considering we saved Babel tower, and due to the fact Athena was right about spies in the guild.
Which she helped root out.
Royman almost had an aneurism because of it.
Man, I wish I had a camera to have captured the look on his face.
Though I made sure to burn the image into my brain.
In other news Ardi is still alive and kicking.
Thankfully she took my advice to heart.
Well that, and Shakti hasn't really let her out of her sight since her near death incident occurred.
Other than that, nothing much has happened.
Orario is being repaired, people are recovering, and life is going on.
But that's not to say I'm not preparing for the future.
Especially with all the threats still to come.
Dix Peridx and the Ikelos familia, Diyonisus and his demi-spirit plot, Knossos, etc.
There's still tons of shit to do and and prepare for.
But I'll worry about that later.
For now, I'm just going to take it easy and relax with my familia.
As well go on a couple of dates with the lovely Rose.
Since we finally got the chance to talk the other day and we set a date for our first one.
Oh one more thing, Gaul finally got himself some magic upon leveling up.
Which he hasn't stopped crying tears of joy about.
Though if I was in his position I think I would do the same thing.
As the sunrise finished up I felt arms wrap around me.
"Good morning." Ryuu said.
"Moring to you as well." I spoke.
Once I did so we shared a good morning kiss before getting dressed and heading downstairs to meet the others for breakfast.
Kaguya being present, since she spent the night.
Like she has been the entire week.
She and Rogue have basically been attached at the hip since the war ended.
Ryuu and I took our seats at the table.
The moment after we did so Athena, walked in a bright smile on her face.
"Good morning all." She said. "I have some exciting news."
"Oh, and what is it Athena?" Diluc asked.
"New aliases." She said.
Since she left earlier this morning for Denatus.
"Ryner, from now on you will be known as Solomon." She said.
'Nice.' I thought. A fitting name, considering how Solomon was rumored to be a powerful and masterful magician in my past life, and one who contracted with 72 demons.
Ryner deserves it, especially with his new skills.
"Leonmitchelli, you will be known as Cerberus from now on." Athena told her.
Another good choice. Since Cerberus was also said to use black flames, just like Leontmichelli does.
And even though she is a lion demi-human I see no issue with her being named after a mythological dog creature.
"Gaul, your new alias will be Regulus." Athena told him.
Making him smile.
Since his new alias reflects his magic.
"Finally the last new alias will go to you Morax. From now on you will be known as Alcyoneus." Athena revealed.
"Oh." I mused.
If I remember my past life mythology correctly Alcyoneus was one of the strongest giants ever. He was regularly an opponent of Heracles, and so long as he touched the ground of his native land he was immortal in battle, turning him into quite the unstoppable opponent.
I also think Athena gave Heracles the advice that helped him defeat Alcynoeus in the first place.
That's quite ironic, given who my goddess is and my new alias.
Oh well.
"I like it." I said.
"I'm sure you do Rampart." Diluc spoke.
As he did so I got a goofy smile on my face.
Ever since the war ended people have been calling me by that nickname.
Apparently its because of my use of my magic, and my unwavering resolve in the face of danger.
Honestly I'm shocked people were paying that much attention to me.
But I can't say I hate it.
Nope, not at all.
Once the information was relayed we all started to enjoy our breakfast.
Smiles on our faces as we enjoyed the first bit of peace we've had in a long time.
