Kapitel 1: Prologue - Curse

The skies cried out, they roared out. They were a reflection of my emotions. I couldn't save her. I called out her name over and over but all I heard was the sound of the rain falling upon me. I finally made my way to the center of the city where I saw her there. I held my breath for a moment as she slowly turned to me. She was covered in her golden blood. she held onto her abdomen, holding her wound but it was no use, the warm golden liquid was dripping out of her. Her face was pale and her voice was weak when she finally called my name.

"Edwin.." she said my name softly as she took a step twords me, no sooner did she fall to her knees.

I ran to her side and held her close to me. "Celafina, please don't leave me." I begged, but her body already began to fade into tiny stars that left me alone with only her silver bracelet. The same one I gave her all those years ago.

I sat there in the ran the tears flowed as hard as the rain that came crashing down on me. I do not understand how this happened. As I continued to scream out in anger I felt the touch of something cold on my torn shirt.

"Edwin, let's go."

It was Melior, my friend. He helped me up and he helped me back to the castle. Where wounded soldiers rested after the battle we believed we won, but in my mind, my heart, we lost. My whole world died in my arms not even an hour ago. The few that Celebrated waited to hear from our King, a speach I had less interest in.

I walked out of the hall, but it didn't stop the King's mighty voice resonate everywhere in the castle. "My loyal men," he began. "The Angelics are no more. we live free and we can prosper with out rule of the demonic beings hidden as Holy Savior's."

I did not care to listen to anymore of this, or anything else ever again. the view from the palace was lovely. it was a spot Celefina often loved when we were together. Together, yes. we will be together once more. I climbed on top of the banister. I took one final look into the distance, smiling as I leaned forward and let the wind guide my soul to hers.
