Kapitel 48: Chapter 47

"Hiruzen, you must give me one of Sakumo's sons for training."

Hiruzen looked at his foolish friend and spoke with a sigh. "Yuta is a qualified jonin and has quite special abilities, yet he decided to become a medical ninja of his own accord because he didn't want to see Konoha ninja die."

"What does that have to do with anything?"

"Don't cut me off, Danzo, I'm Hokage."

Danzo's face turned ugly as Hiruzen ignored him and continued. "Kakashi came to me after his father's death and told me he wanted to join the anbu. Sakumo has passed from this world, but he left behind two sons who carry the will of fire in their hearts."

"That's what I'm talking about. If Kakashi is trained by the roots..."

"Be quiet, Danzo!"

Danzo was about to leave the room in anger when he was interrupted once again, but he was forced to be silent when he saw the only light coming through the window of the dark room falling on Hiruzen's angry face. Hiruzen was not his usual self. Something was strange. Danzo had never seen Hiruzen look at him with such angry eyes before.

"I believe that both Yuta and Kakashi will contribute more konaha in one year in the future than the entire lifespan of the roots."

Danzo realized after those words that today's conversation had never been about Yuta or Kakashi.

"Unlike when the Roots were first founded, they no longer do anything. In fact, their missions are kept secret even from me as a Hokage. That is why I have decided to shut down the Roots!"

Danzo's eyes widened at the last sentence and he wanted to protest, but Hiruzen kept talking, not giving him a chance to speak.

"Of course, as an old friend, I won't be so cruel to you, I'll give you a chance to prove the usefulness of the Roots, one last chance..."

This time Danzo sensed his seriousness and decided to hide the roots' powers in secret as soon as he left. Even if there really was a shutdown, this way he could continue to preserve the great power of the roots.

"I recently received a report that Iwakagure has violated Kusagakure's borders. Take the roots with you and infiltrate the border and investigate what happened. If Iwakagure is really willing to break the previous treaty, then I will come to the border myself."

Danzo saw nothing wrong with the mission, but he was surprised to hear that Hiruzen was personally going to a battlefield. Hiruzen had never gotten his ass off the couch since he became Hokage, and he had said that a Hokage should stand at the head of the village.

Hiruzen saw the surprise on his old friend's face and explained. "Now I have some disciples to train. Just as Tobirama sensei trained us, I must take my students to the battlefield so that they will develop quickly and I will have someone to entrust the village to when I die."

With these words, the conversation went no further and Danzo left the room with more respect than before.

..... At Tsunade's house at the same time

Tsunade smiled and looked at the boy standing in front of her and wiped the sweat from his forehead. Tsunade was much stronger and faster than Yuta, but Yuta's ability to manipulate the shadows and make moves that the human body could not do made him difficult to catch.

Of course, Tsunade never took this sparring match seriously, but as time passed, she realized a truth. Yuta's endurance was nothing like that of humans. No matter how hard they fought, Yuta was always at his best and never broke a sweat. It made Tsunade feel like she was training with a monster.

"Looks like this workout isn't enough to make you sweat. Let me let you taste my power when I get serious."

"I told you before. My body's fatigue is healed by my bloodline. As long as I don't run out of chakra, I won't get physically tired..."

Before Yuta could continue speaking, he saw Tsunade disappear, leaving behind a pit of earth. Immediately afterwards Tsunade appeared in front of him and punched him hard in the stomach.

Yuta had the reaction speed and speed to take on ordinary Jonins, but that speed meant nothing in front of a sannin.

Soles of shadow appeared under Yuta's feet and moved sideways at the same time, spreading Yuta's feet and causing Yuta to sit in a painful position. This was Yuta's movement technique, a refinement of the ten shadow techniques.

He could move around like ice skating with the shadows under his feet, and he used it during battle to perform impossible moves like now.

Yuta managed to dodge this punch by spreading his feet 180 degrees, but as if expecting this, Tsunade ducked down and slammed her fist into Yuta's face. In the next second, Yuta crashed with a crushed face into a tree at one end of the garden, causing it to break.

Tsunade, realizing that she had just reflexively put chakra into her fists, rushed to Yuta's side and checked on his condition. Fortunately Yuta was completely fine except for a broken nose.

Tsunade picked him up and took him home immediately and wanted to heal his nose, but Yuta wouldn't let her. Because this was a good opportunity to show Tsunade the reverse curse technique.

Tsunade was stunned to see Yuta quickly returning to his best condition with steam coming out of his nose. She had never seen anyone but her grandfather have such healing abilities before.

Yuta became increasingly worried as he stared at Tsunade, who was silent for a long time. Just then Yuta remembered that she had a fear of blood.
