"Will you escort me to the coronation ceremony, my lord? Julia blinked her eyes giving him a bashful smile when Ethan tried to smile back but he was only feeling irritation.

He could not believe that he was fooled again by his mother. This was not the first time and definitely not the last yet..! He took a deep breath as he looked at the young girl.

He had already told her a few times that he was not interested in an arranged marriage but she did not get the hint.

"My lord, you must be thrilled by the announcement, right? Who would have thought that your captain would be announced as the new emperor at such a young age." she smiled and then slowly held his arms, "you look so strong, i am sure that you would be a good captain when he leaves." 

"It has not been announced yet, my lady. You should not spread false rumors in case they would affect my image and yours too." he held her hands and then slowly detangled his arms from her grip and let them go.
