The trio played around for a while longer.
Eventually they all sat down together on a bench laughing and having a good time.
At this point someone came out of the shadows. "Are you here for a reason?"
Ayanokoji looked back. "Yes, I'm here to meet someone, is that you?"
Kiriyama sighed and nodded. "I can't believe Horikita-senpai sent someone so unreliable. What were you three even doing?"
Syl leaned his head backwards over the bench and looked at Kiriyama upside down. "Having fun, you should try it sometime."
Kiriyama ignored Syl. "You're Ayanokoji, right? Why are two others here?"
"These are my paw- my partners."
Syl nearly stood up and smacked him.
'Who's your pawn!?'
Kei was blissfully unaware.
"How confident are you?"
"I'm not sure, but I'll see what I can do."
Kiriyama frowned. "This is hopeless, I'm leaving."
"Running away again?" Syl asked as he was still looking at him upside down.
Kiriyama paused as he was turning around. "What?"
"Is someone scared of little old Nagumo?" Syl mocked.
Kiriyama walked over staring at Syl face awkwardly as he was the wrong way.
"What does a first year like you know? What can you do against Nagumo?"
"Create an opposing faction, a union, or something like that? It's pretty fucking simple. Everyone hates the bastard, so take leadership of them by promising his downfall, deal with the aftermath later. At least then you have a ⅓ chance of making it to class A. Well, more like ½ class D doesn't really have a chance."
Kiriyama scowled. "You think I haven't thought of that? It would never work."
"Really? It's pretty simple. You can also get other people on your side by becoming student council president and making it easier to transfer classes."
"Then Nagumo would just promise the same and everyone would go after me."
Syl shrugged. "Don't know till you try. Also, you could just beat Nagumo and prove you're better in the first place, then you wouldn't have to do any of this."
Kei was suppressing a laugh, she didn't 100% know what was going on, but it was funny to see this guy get belittled by Syl.
Ayanokoji was analyzing Kiriyama's responses and the entire conversation, looking for new information and anything else he could get.
"You don't understand how strong Nagumo is. Or how many people follow him."
"Then tell me." Syl replied.
"... No. you're not trustworthy, Horikita senpai must be really desperate if he called on someone like you. This is never going to work, I shouldn't have come here."
Syl clicked his tongue and stayed quiet.
Ayanokoji spoke up. "Would you at least give me a chance?"
Kiriyama sighed. "One chance, if you fail to prove yourself worthy, I will stop contacting you."
Kiriyama walked away.
"He didn't seem that bad." Kei said.
"He's a pussy."
"He's untrustworthy."
Syl and Ayanokoji said at the same time.
"Eh?"
"He's going to follow Nagumo. He'll pussy out and become a pawn in the end." Syl clarified.
Ayanokoji nodded. "Untrustworthy."
"O-oh Haha. Yeah, I thought so too." Kei said awkwardly.
Syl smiled and brought his head back up. He ruffled Kei's hair. "Don't worry, we don't expect dog's to think well."
Kei smacked his hand away and pouted angrily. "Kiyotaka! He's bullying me again! Get him!"
Ayanokoji sighed. "Please stop, Syl."
Syl chuckled. "I wonder who the dog is now?"
Ayanokoji was stunned. "..."
Syl laughed and ran away. "You're both doggies now!"
Ayanokoji thought for a moment before sighing again.
Kei smirked and felt proud of herself for making Ayanokoji her dog.
Syl laughed as he finally got home.
"It was a fun christmas."
Syl checked his balance and his eyes popped out of his sockets. "Where did my 250,000 points go?!!?"
Then Syl remembered back to earlier today.
He had to bribe the waiter 200,000 points to let him in the restaurant with Kiryuin, and he also paid 50,000 points for various things today. Including an extra gift he got her.
Syl sighed. He was such a great gentleman!
He was astounded at his own greatness.
He went over his date today.
"It was really fun, but…" Syl had something on his mind. "Well, we'll see."
He shrugged and got changed into a spare pink bunny suit he had lying around.
He obviously had multiple. He had 8. One a day and a spare that he cycled through every week.
He then tucked himself into bed with a cozy smile on his face.
"Goodnight."
I know I know, short chapter. It's the end of the volume so it's a bit shorter than usual, only like 100-200 words tho.
