Kapitel 42: Did I Do Something Wrong?

"Will you allow me to help you?", Seth had asked Ruby.

He was drawn to the princess. Seth noticed that around Ruby, he felt peace course through his veins. Pains that he had about some things were forgotten fleetingly whenever he was around her. Things that concerned her seemed to be a priority in his mind. Seth couldn't help what he felt for Princess Ruby.

There was a desperate urge to protect Ruby. Something that Seth didn't feel for anyone, not even for his half-brother, someone he deemed as the closest person to him.

But the happiness Seth had been feeling shattered with Ruby's reaction to what he had asked.

[Was it the question I asked that made her behave that way?], Seth thought. [Or was it because I had come too close?].

Prince Seth hadn't even known when his legs moved to close the space between him and the princess. What he knew... what he longed for at that moment was for Ruby to be in his space, and him, hers.

"Is she still repulsed by me?", Seth muttered.
