"Here's your new home, I hope you don't mind if you have a roommate," said the man in the uniform before closing the door behind Arthur and walking away with a smirk on his face.
Since the cell was currently empty, Arthur assumed that his roommate would come back soon as prisons were relatively strict and almost everyone else were in their cells however his roommate wouldn't come back until the middle of the night when Arthur was sleeping.
However right as his roommate got to the door, Arthur instantly woke up as his instincts kicked in and warned him about someone.
He was a figure that placed his hands on the bars of the prison cell and opened it by force before then closing it after he had entered by bending the bars to his will. Right as he entered the cell, he made eye contact with Arthur.
The two of them simply stared at each other with Arthur sitting on his bed and his roommate still standing. Even though Arthur's roommate was looking down at him, in reality, they were both looking directly at each other as if they were equals.
This continued one for a couple minutes before something spectacular took place. While this was happening though, every single person in this prison was watching as they didn't want to sleep through what could have possibly been the funniest interaction they were going to see.
The reason they were all so on edge was because of who Arthur's roommate was. It was the man that had been able to kill one of the men in the suit with no effort. The strongest person in the prison.
After staring back at each other for a while, both of them allowed their presence to roam free to see who had the strongest will power. That alone was able to force everyone including the officers as well as the warden of the prison to get on their knees just from the sheer power they both had.
Arthur was preparing to deal the killing blow however Arthur's roommate simply fell on the ground and started to sleep.
"Uh? Are you okay?" Arthur asked to which the roommate got up from the ground before leaping to the side of Arthur and gave him a side hug before looking at him with eager eyes.
"I've waited for this day for so long! I finally get a roommate!" the man yelled out in joy which left everyone including Arthur shocked. They had all believed that someone's head would be detached from their body in the next few seconds but instead, the exact opposite took place.
"Hi, my name is William, it's nice to meet you," said Arthur's roommate as he placed his hand forward for a handshake.
"I'm Arthur, it's nice to meet you too," said Arthur slowly as he was still confused.
"So tell me, what did you do to get sent here?" Willam asked to which Arthur looked confused but was slowly opening up to Willam.
"Well, to be perfectly honest, I don't even know what I did wrong. I was in a battle inside some sort of coliseum and I was fighting some rich kid that had some dragon armour that was supposed to be special. After I won, a group of 20 men in suits surrounded me and told me I was going to be sent here. They claimed to be pretty strong so I fought them and I had fun with them but they also said that a man who could defeat a single one of them in a mere second was in this prison so I wanted to challenge him as well so I told the driver to drop me off here and here I am now," Arthur said as he gave a very fast explanation as he was excited to meet the person who was supposedly the strongest person in the prison and seeing that his roommate was pretty strong , he assumed that the strongest man would be truly terrifying.
…
"Could the person you defeated happened to be named Luis?" Willam asked to which Arthur looked confused.
"Ya! How did you know that?!" Arthur asked to which Willam began to laugh historically. Everyone else didn't understand what was so funny as it was such an awful joke however Willam knew that at the strength that Arthur was at and how clueless he seemed to be, he was telling the truth.
"You know the person you defeated is greater than royalty right? The only ones above him and his family are the council of sorcery and they're not that much more powerful than him," said William as he continued to laugh at what Arthur did to which Arthur got embarrassed as he had exposed how strong he was.
More importantly though, the reason that Willam was able to know so much about the outside world while still being a prisoner was because he did as he pleased. He simply ordered the entire prison around, even the guards and the warden.
"Since you seem to know so much about him, can you tell me about his armour? I got a very short explanation for it however I still don't understand why it's able to absorb my attacks and deflect them right back at me," said Arthur to which Willam looked concerned.
"Was his armour a clean golden colour?" Willam asked as he didn't remember Luis having any armour but had an idea what it might have been.
"It did!" Arthur replied as he thought he was getting closer to an answer which he was.
"I thought so. You see, that set of armour is named the king's treasure. It's because there can only ever be one true king just as there can only be one set of armour like that. It was crafted by a legendary blacksmith which used the materials from the strongest dungeon monster we've yet to see. No one else has ever been able to defeat that monster or even get close to it as such, it is believed that there will only be one set of armour like that," said Willam.
"Excuse me if I sound dumb but what exactly is a dungeon?" Arthur asked which left Willam baffled.
"Are you serious right now? Have you actually never heard of a dungeon?" Willam asked to which Arthur's face turned pale as he might have given away that he was only allowed to live properly just a couple months ago.
"It's fine, I'll take you under my wing and teach you what you want to know. You're pretty interesting so this should be some fun," said William with a smile.
