"Is that aura coming from that kid? But how? He's nothing more than a mere child. This shouldn't even be possible!" the man that was about to punch the girl said before realizing that if he stayed for even another second that he would be killed in a flash. As such, he made the wise decision to run away as fast as he could before Arthur could get him and bring an early end to his life.
"Man, there's no point of chasing him. Even if I do, I'll probably kill him in rage and I don't need to cause more trouble for Egris," said Arthur with a sigh and he began to go look around to see which direction he should take to go back to his home.
"I think I came from that way," Arthur said to himself as he began to take his first step before a hand grabbed onto his arm. Although he couldn't see behind him, Arthur knew it was the girl's hand that had been beaten as her hands were trembling in fear.
Arthur simply looked back at her with a bored expression to which she seemed confused yet she understood why.
"You don't care what happens to others right?" she asked to which Arthur simply nodded.
"I mean it's not my problem so why should I get involved with it. I have no connection to you or that man. However he affected me in a negative way so I have a reason to attack him. Him whacking away my ice cream created a connection in which I would try to get my revenge. I never had a connection to you so I have no reason to help you," said Arthur while still bored and wanting to go back home.
"Hey, since he destroyed your ice cream which in turn caused you to save my life, how about I buy you the ice cream that you wanted so badly," said the woman to which Arthur nodded and the two headed back the store.
"It's this one right?" the girl asked while still trembling as she reached for the ice cream and showed it to Arthur who nodded in agreement. However right as she went up to pay, she slipped and almost fell to the ground which caused Arthur's instincts to kick in and reach so that he could stop her from falling and helped her get back on her feet.
"Hey ma'am, are you all right?" the cashier asked in a concerned voice to which the girl simply nodded as she didn't want to cause more trouble or at least that was what she thought.
After she had payed for the ice cream, the two walked outside and Arthur thought that would be the end of their conversation however before he could leave, the girl grabbed a hold of his arm once again.
"Hey, do you mind walking me back to my place? I don't feel too well," said the girl to which Arthur was about to refuse as he saw no reason for him to help some random girl out.
"Just be nice to her you moron. It wouldn't kill you to do one good deed every once in a while," said Lucifer to which Arthur seemed annoyed at the fact that he was being told to be kind from the devil himself. As such, Arthur sighed and agreed to help her out.
"Get on," said Arthur as he crouched so that he could carry the girl on his back and take her home.
"Oh wow, you're more of a gentleman than I thought. I can't believe you're actually willing to carry me so that I don't have to walk," said the girl as she believed that Arthur might have had a gentle side to him.
"No, it's just faster to carry you than walk with you," said Arthur which annoyed the girl but nevertheless, she got on his back and expected him to simply walk her home. However she would learn first hand that Arthur wasn't like the average human as he jumped up from the ground so high that he landed on the roof of the convenience store and began to look around for taller and taller buildings to leap on to of so that he could give the girl a better view.
"Wow, this is really beautiful. Thank you for going out of your way to show me this," said the girl with a smile was she took Arthur's gestures the wrong way.
"Now that you have a better view, look for your house so I can drop you off," said Arthur which made the girl grit her teeth in annoyance before pointing far off in the distance to which Arthur nodded before pushing his feet back on the ground and using the pressure to leap off of the building and land right in front of her house with just a single jump. To Arthur, he was just doing a normal jump but to the girl, it felt like she was flying in slow motion as she got to admire the view from such a height in the night sky.
…
"Well, you can get off now. We're here," said Arthur to which the girl slowly got off Arthur's back and wanted to say something to him.
"T-Thank you. I'm really grateful that you did all of this for me even if you didn't want to," said the girl.
"My name is Terra. Nice to meet you," said the girl to which Arthur nodded.
"Oh don't worry about it too much, you're not as heavy as you look so it wasn't too much for me to do," said Arthur as if he had done nothing wrong to which Terra's face instantly turned red before slapping Arthur on the face and storming home.
"Wow, so that's the thank you I get for saving her life and then dropping her home? I shouldn't have saved her in the first place!" Arthur told himself in an annoyed voice.
"Now the ice cream melted too! What a waste. I'll just get some another time. I should go back and get some rest," said Arthur as he returned back home.
"You're really a moron you know," said Lucifer with a sigh.
