 As I imagined, this family dinner was another name for trial. I sat with the entire Bedington family—with Grandma Mag dominating the family conversation over Grandpa Leonard. If I may compare, Grandpa Leonard and Grandma Mag were like water and fire. They contradicted each other. Grandpa Leonard was calmer, and kinder, even when talking to me, he was like talking to another granddaughter. I wondered how Grandpa Leo could conquer a beast-like Grandma Mag when he was young.

 My stomach was like being poked by a billiard stick when I heard Grandma Mag's skeptical tone. I glanced at Justin briefly pleading for defense. He nodded faintly, touching the palm of my hand that I was holding. His warm hands were able to ease my nervousness faced by many socialites like them.
